Watching this video reminded me of all the hard times that I went through in middle and high school.

I care too much of what others think... and I am human.

All through middle school I was made fun of because of my acne, my hair, other things too. I spent years trying to be like the "popular" girls and succeeded. It was never enough. I gave up and focused on being myself. That was when I found my greatest friends and the love of my life. I can tell you it does get better.

In jr. high, the kids were just rabid, looking for anything for a sense of power they could grasp over their fellow students, to keep on top of the dog pile. High school they'd calmed down a bit, & students tended to have found themselves a bit more; some still weren't mature enough not to hurt others, but many found themselves better able to stand up to those sorts who did.
