Easily the finest theatre in which to see classic movies on a regular basis in the NYC area, and the organ is among the nation's best. $6 to $7 usually. Plenty of parking. Easy subway access from Manhattan. Come one, come all--and see a movie the way they were meant to be seen.
@chem100 Indeed. This a real gem of a place....unfortunately most people outside of Jersey won't even consider going here. It's 'too far' the Manhattanites say. But heck, I live in Brooklyn, and even I consider this place worth the 2 or so hour commute by subway. There's just no place like this in the NYC area!
@yippee1999 Those Manhattanites don't know what they are missing. Pity. They should be adventurous and try it once. It might surprise them. It's only 10 minutes from Battery Park City. The Loew's Jersey is closer to New York's City Hall than many parts of Manhattan. How is that too far? Oh, it's in Joisey. Guess the Loew's Jersey has to work against that prejudice. Is it really 2 hours by Subway from Brooklyn. Where do you live--Canarsie?
@chem100 I live in Glendale, Queens....sort of that middle area between Qns and Bk where there's not much in the way of subway lines. I have to walk 20 mins. or else wait for a bus, which takes me to the L, and then it's about 12 stops to Union Sq, then the N/Q/R to Herald Sq and then the PATH from there.....;-)

Thanks so much for posting this. You really bring the entire scene to life, very accurately.
Did I mention that this is the 10th largest working theatre in the United States?
