  • IFR = Instrument Flight Rules

    VFR = Visual Flight Rules

    Never flew in or out of Courchevel, but I skied there for a week, and watched.

    Thanks for your comment, but at times we all have a lot to learn, don't we? LOL, happy tailwinds man :)

  • What do you mean by "weather is IFR"?

  • @logstarful

    weather where the only way you can fly is using your instruments. At Courchevel, you can not fly into if the weather i not good (or VFR)

  • How would I get to the point W i.e.when the approach begins?

  • @logstarful

    Ahhhaaaa, the first one to ask, it is a visual point, so you know you're over the point W by experience, LOL, that is why they want you to fly in with an instructor a few times into Courchevel before doing it by yourself. Actually, the point W is not a very "specific" point, it is more of a "general area" (for the lack of better words). It is not exact like a GPS point is, because if the weather is IFR, you shouldn't be flying into Courchevel to begin with.

  • I can't wait until you get to Gibraltar. Looking forward to the rest of this one too!

  • simultor?

  • i think i'm going to post a video response to that one, can i?
