Hey man thinking of buying one, really want to start creating music rather than listening to so much of it. What kind of devices would i need apart from this and my PC to hear the audio?
@JamForJerry Hi! Except for a MIDI keyboard.. just some kind of USB soundcard is the best choice, I use a Edirol UA 20 which is pretty old by todays standards there's plenry great out there, check out Edirol and Tascam for example they are really nice, you want small latency (small delay) between hitting the key and hearing the sound, they do a great job, aswell do others I guess. But those are my tips, you cannot fail with those :)
Great video. Question! Was this just plug and play or is there some sort of setup? And does the pads on that keyboard control the drums? PLEASE RESPOND
@urbanitegeek Thanks!!, Out of the box Axiom works pretty much like any other keyboard with USB or MIDI, so in that sense it's plug and play with anything including Garageband. Drumpads acts like bottom keyboard from the start, but you can set each drumpad to send specific midichannels and midikeys if you need that aswell. If somethings unclear just ask I'll try fill you in. Have a great Day!!
I was under the impression this would help others set up axiom pro with GarageBand and not just a show off video of rather mediocre skills (at best). How do you expect donations with so little to offer, you selfish no-talent prick.
@Voitcu Don't want those confusions to happen again so title and text is changed. About the donation was merly a joke. The video itself is just meant to get the feeling of the instrument thru. I've already planned to do some setting up and similiar videos, but no promises made as that's too much pressure.
Hey man nice job, quick question! Difference between Axiom and Axiom Pro? I'm deciding on which to get.. Also, I have garageband as well, easy to set up and use this particular midi with garageband? Thanks.
@NMG4Life Thanks, Axiom Pro's biggest changes is definielty the Hyper controls which gives you great control and then also the improved keys. I found setup was okay. It all depends what control you want. For GB I found that .. If you got the time it has the flexibility. Sadly no single magic button to setup up all for you. The manual as with many gadgets really needs to be thinner but luckily you don't need it much.
hey i bought a axiom 49 and i use garage band too but there sems to b a prob with the connection because everytime connect it with a usb its says 2 inputs are available then shortly after it say's no inputs are available does any 1 know what i need to do to fix this thanks :)
@jimmyss75 You are very welcome!!!! Also thanks for answering my question! :)
Hey I'm trying to find a good keyboard that's not too pricey for some one who wants to learn how to play and make basic music on garage band. Would you happen to have any suggestions on any good keyboard that's MAC compatible and not too expensive (about under $200)
@jKPieGuy I would suggest something like the M-Audio Oxygen 49 (3rd gen) or the slightly more expansive CME UF CLASSIC 50, both are Mac friendly just plug and go! have a great day!
