This simulation in no way advocated the separation of uses or income groups- instead, simulated future urban growth was allocated using multiple timesteps and multiple income groups in order to achieve smaller granularity in the model. Using a willingness-to-pay model, based on past trends, the wealthier population was able to outbid their poorer counterparts, in both time and location choice.
