When the light turns on the receiver end, dose it effect the transmitter station? In other words: Is there is any measurable energy increase on the transmitter station when when you start using wireless energy?
If I can offer an advice - try soldering your tank caps directly onto the transmitting loop, as this is a heavy current circuit and I would be wary of using the breadboard for this connection. Not only it causes unnecessary losses, but might also damage your breadboard by overheating.
Once your tank circuit is soldered up you can connect it to the circuit with relatively thin wires.
