I LOVE this recording! How can you beat a pop song where the opening refrain is voiced by a trombone and the bridge by two harmonizing trombones?? Add in a terrific vocal performance by Gene and there you have, folks, a TRUE classic.
An amazing Artist with an amazing voice should have been a super super star, Thank you for so many happy memories. What a huge loss for your family. Will allways be loved and remembered RIP
@TheLenslink Back in the day, nobody cared what the color of your skin was as long as you could sing. In fact, the civil rights movement had a lot to thank Motown about.
Hey Mr. Nocaro, we got so much in common, all these songs you make, so it's obvious we're about the same age and your videos are aweome to say the least, thanks for posting and take care, Jimmy
I LOVE his dramatic gasps. I heard this once and have looked for it since, hearing many lesser versions along the way. This recording is the best!

Simply one of the best voices ever. I'm 63 and enjoyed Gene's music for many years.

This song works on EVERY level especially Gene's defiant voice and the trombone hook. Great work, Snuff.
