2)Then inter-tribal infighting. Tribes fought each other and took large quantities of slaves all the time. White people weren't the first to start slavery but they were the first to end it.

@cageria Ok, First of all, i didnt do a fucking thing to Indians, i am 3/16 arapaho and the reason i dont tell anyone is because stupid fucks like u who act I was the one who caused all this. I do understand the troubles natives went through, but we gave them a lot of the stuff they have today (cars, technology, education, better homes and a better life). depressed, or lost, indigenous peoples live like humans lived for 150,000 years before agriculture and "civilization". I can imagine how these people must have felt when they encountered our society and I am saddened by it. I think their cultural legacy is something native people keep close to their hearts, and good for them. @GaleZMe the notion that whites were "rescuing" natives is paternalistic and ridiculous. They had a vested interest in seizing their land, and later sought to justify their behaviour. The governing powers had no interest in "saving" these natives. Their interest was in removing them so while natives may have committed atrocities against one another, it pales in comparison to the influence western expansion had on them.
