This song is amazing. Along with Civilization IV which is (in my opinion the best one of the whole serie, and I've been playing since Civilization 2). When I'm listening to this song I feel like being launched into thousands years of epic history, conflicts, golden age and technologic discover... This game is a wonderful to sum up the story of theses little and weak specimens who became a developed and structured society. With this song, I recover faith in humanity.

It's a very well composed piece, evocative and yet nonspecific enough to allow for imaginations to run with it. Of course, it's just the Lord's Prayer in Swahili, but it allows for the words to become meaningless and let the sound of the vocalists become an instrument.

i mean its a great song, and great video but its just in-congruent. It's South African music but there are no African civilizations represented in it at all except for Egypt (North Eastern Africa) briefly at the beginning. Even after you get to modern day and the future you still don't see black people.

When I turned on Civilization 4 for the first time the Earth in the background and this music just BLEW MY MIND, I spent like 5 or 6 minutes, jaw-dropped, looked and listened to this marvel. THAT'S how you introduce your game, THAT'S how you show what is it all about, THAT'S what plays in my mind when I hear or read about people so nice, awesome and helpful to others that they deserve a medal. Mr. Tin did an AMAZING job with this and Soweto+Royal Phil. Orchestra works INCREDIBLY well. Respect.

Everyone, i'm just saying; that i feel this music video is about OUR race, not any country or event! It 'should' include everyone and it should cover the biggest events in history. Now i know you can't possibly fit our races' history in a 3:35 min long video, but then at least bring up the large events that occurred before the 21'th century, like the World Wars and the Revolutions. I'm not saying that the U.S should not be in the video, sure its a big thing, but there is so much more in history.

@Xeillo i realize that WW1 and WW2 and all these other big wars are a huge if not the biggest events that have happened in our history. but this game is called "civilization" and its about building up countries not distroying them. all though there are some war scenes in here, i believe one of the reasons they didn't put the wars is because its a strategizing game where you have to build up a civilization to be on top, not focusing on the war factor of the world.
