  • A truly decent guy. THIS is the fabric PBA members used to be made of. Now... well, it's just sad, that's all.

  • he has a nice throw for his age and for playing in the 50's..

  • LOLOLOL GUTTER BALL @ 0:29... FAIL

  • salvino is a boss. nuff said

  • One of the pioneers and greats of bowling.

  • LOL he never gets off the approach. And he doesn't have to... Because hes FUCKIN SALVINO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Take notes young folk! Carmen Salvino is one of the greatest of all time!

  • It would be awesome if he somehow made a television show.

  • He was good in 1954 and he is still good today haha

  • I love the fact that he's fron row at almost every televised PBA event.

  • I almost peed myself at 3,384. hahaha this guy is awesome

  • Salvino is the man!!!!

  • I like that leg kick that he does. It is like "Ow, I feel good"

  • Pretty amazing for 75! It is especially difficult for right handers to compete at advance ages than it is for lefthanders. Lefthanders seem to have more forgiveness on the left side of the lane. They also tend to have that natural arm swing and great axis rotation. I notice Carmen does not hold the bowl down by his side in the starting position. I wonder if his back started giving him problems.

  • Yeah totally for Carmen. I being lefty have a pretty good advantage as you have said but as to his back, it could be just that that is how he throws but it very well could be his back bro. He is a ton better than me, lol.

  • @TheBrassHole

I got your original message "@fozzynate1245 You do realize this man was bowling 750 series on a CROWN oil pattern with a RUBBER ball in 1954!!!!!!!!!!?????? You do realize that right?"

Yeah. He definitely keeps me speechless...

  • @fozzynate1245 You do realize this man was bowling 750 series on a CROWN oil pattern with a RUBBER ball in 1954!!!!!!!!!!?????? You do realize that right?

  • .....riiiiight

  • He looks great and bowls just as great!! I hope I have the chance to meet him someday and learn a thing or two.

  • I have been able to watch Carmen bowl for 55 years since we got out first TV in 1954. Check out the 1954 video on youtube and you will see he bowls virtually the same and this present day video proves that if you give Carmen even one camera he will put on a show.May the Lord grant Carmen decades to come as one of pro bowling's greatest ambassadors.

  • I hope to throw the ball as well as Carmen does when I get to be 75!

  • Wow!!!!! He's still awesome! Oddly enough, his style now looks more like he did in the 50's than in the 70's and 80's.

  • @leopoldmozart -- YES! I was going to say that. In those 'middle years,' he had a very different style -- pretty strange, starting the approach holding the ball straight down with just his right hand, and using minimal movement. Very different from the animated style of his younger years -- and I guess also his recent years!

BTW I'm a big classical music guy too -- see my video if you feel like it! :-)

  • Good for him! Carmen is a class act.

  • lol...great stuff!!!

Could you image if he made a telecast...the PBA uppers would be drooling!!! That would be bigger than Belmo winning an event

  • He still has it!!!
