For the ''stunning performance'' part of your comment, I agree with you. But if you're able to say that this is your favorite song, then you either haven't listened to enough S&G songs or just can't appreciate at its full extent the quality of songs in which Simon and Garfunkel's voices really show their superiority and distinctinveness, such as in The Boxer, The Sounds of Silence and America.
