@craignex no problem, really. My 1st idea was to make an animation, but it took 10h each frame (8h render image, 2h render depth map), I have the project, so I may render it low quality as a test.
@RolandDeschain1 Vue is more complete, comes with tons of vegetation, shaders, etc... Terragen can use models for vegetation, but you cant simulate wind, and Vue can. Terragen is cheaper and as good in many ways, but vue is more complete, more options, more fx, etc...
@RolandDeschain1 You can be more creative with Vue, I found Terragen was mroe mathematical and required a lot tutorials before you could do anything decent, whereas Vue you can open it up and muck around and create something pretty awesome.
@calisaetia vue is better for vegetation (way better), Terragen is a cheaper, simpler awesome program, better in some parts, worst in others. I found it easy to handle.
@apewaxfilms I can't say honestly as I didn't give it too much of a go. I would say stick with Vue, it's more creative, and you can use other software to render your images/aniamtion instead of Vue.
@FireVortex720 I learnt by myself, and each frame took 8h to render. Creating the scene took less than an hour, dont remember, but not too long. All those pics are from the same scene, just moved the camera and moved a bit the sun to get a cool illumination.
@jvillinger I used several custom models of grass, bushes, flowers alltogether. I dont remember the settings :( .The ground wasnt fully covered, but the shadows made the ground appearing covered.
@TheKjex 200, but i dont render any more frames in a long time, i have rendered about 20, but it takes too long (1920x1080 at very high quality). I will render more frames when i have time.
this is how skyrim should have looked

How does Terragen stack up to Vue?
I've played with Vue PLE a bit and really love it to the point where I'm thinking of buying a copy. Is Terragen better.

Which grass model (/s) did you use and how much spacing did you put? I'm trying for a similar effect.
