Brian Dawkins did not go where the money was, YES he was paid more by the Broncos but what people are forgetting is this. In the contract that the Eagles offered to Dawkins, there was a clause that said for any game that Dawkins missed whilst under contract, HE would owe THEM the salary which would have been earned for that game. Thats a big slap in the face and i don't blame Dawkins one bit for showing the Eagles the bird (no pun intended).

The eagles play the broncos on Dec. 27. I blame the eagles for the loss of Dawkins because he said in an interview last november that he does believe his eagles days aren't over yet. He said that he thinks they will make a good deal. Even though i'm an eagles fan, I hope Dawkins does very well, but I still hope the eagles win the game. We will see!

He went where the money was, that's all. I love Dawkins, but it doesn't matter what players say about their love for their team or whatever. At the end of the day they still go where there is more money to be found. So I can't really blame the Eagles for not offering a huge contract to a 35 year old player the way Denver did.

o ya and i agree i want denver to get a super bowl with the broncos. this season i could care less about. 2008 season hurt. to me it was all about getting him a ring with an eagle on it and him going out as an eagles but now thats not happening and that hurts. he deserves a super bowl. i will be rooting for the broncos unless there playin the birds.

@briandawkings Why? THere is a boatload of good players in the NFL who deserve one just as much. Maybe if he made a play or two in any of the Championship Games or Super Bowl he'd have one. In the 4 NFC Champ. games and the Super Bowl loss he has .5 sacks 0 int 0forced fumbles. Big players make big plays in big games.

That's a good point. He could go out on top. He said in his NFL Films interview that he has never been on a championship team on any level. That seems like the appropriate way for him to go out. He'd easily be a first ballot Hall of Famer with a championship. It's really the only thing keeping him out right now.
