I just experienced my first year of middle school, and I hated it. Your fat, emo, you have no life, no purpose. These kids made me hate myself. Tyler, its nice you are posting this. But think about this not everyone is like you. Some are more shy or stressed than others, others may just have bad experiences. Some could even be like that out of sheer depression. It doesn't matter what it is. But everyone deals with things differently. I'm pretty sure if you told that to a depressed person they'd tell you to fuck yourself. Or if you said that to someone with bad experiences they would argue you don't know how it feels like.

In some cases what you're saying about the body language might be a lack of self esteem, but that's not always necessarily true. I have Asperger's Syndrome (a social disorder) and I would most likely have my mom or dad order from me. So even though this girl might have personal issues, she could just be timid of other people or plainly shy.
And another thing... Reading through the comments on your channel, I am amazed how many really young people there are here (I am OLD, but that's not relevant) - many teenagers and even younger - and the wonderful thing is, you are making a difference. Through Youtube they can tune in to Tyler and maybe a hard day becomes a little less painful. And that's understating the case. Seems you inspire and comfort quite a few young people who really value your help. That is an exceptional achievement.
In many cases Tyler things work differently for people. What comforts someone, may not comfort another person. Vice versa. It's very nice you are doing this but if you actually want to help someone, don't befriend them out of pity. Don't get into their business too much, it may make them uncomfortable, unless they say you can. Try to give eye contact, but not too much of it. Try to be there IF they asked; don't follow them. Be kind and yourself with them. Most importantly give them respect. lol.

When I was 11 and 12 I was very shy. VERY. I got insulted easily and I would cry. I cried in front of my class one day....yikes. I am 13 now, and people don't like me because, well, they are just bitches and hate me for no reason, even though I try to be nice, they won't accept. They say I'm a whore and a slut, and I laugh. I hate myself. It's nothing to do with anything any one else said, I don't care what other people think of me. I still hate myself, and I hate what I've become. I hate that I have tried to do something about it, but to understand how bad my pain is, you would have to see me when I break down. I am proud that I haven't had a big break down in 2 months. No matter what any one else says, I know that I have a lot of good in me, but I hate what I am.
On another note, I don't trust people who appear super confident in themselves. I like to see some (reasonable) uncertainty. It just seems more genuine and sincere. Otherwise you sound like a politician (which is a BAD thing.)

I'm pretty sure if you told that to a depressed person they'd tell you to fuck yourself. Or if you said that to someone with bad experiences they would argue you don't know how it feels like.

Tyler I think you do a wonderful service for lots of people out here. Not just young people but anyone who listens to you can learn something. I have had self esteem problems for years and what you say is something I have been working on for a long time. YOu're fortunate to have figured this out at such a young age. You're so sweet! Every one of your videos I've ever watched has had my eyes watering, but especially this one. I'm so shy, and I hang out with a group in school who gets teased a lot. It's so embarrassing for me to even walk down the hall through other groups of people towards my own at lunch time. But this really makes me think that I should be proud of my friends and myself. In some cases what you're saying about the body language might be a lack of self esteem, but that's not always necessarily true. I have Asperger's Syndrome (a social disorder) and I would most likely have my mom or dad order from me. So even though this girl might have personal issues, she could just be timid of other people or plainly shy.

And another thing... Reading through the comments on your channel, I am amazed how many really young people there are here (I am OLD, but that's not relevant) - many teenagers and even younger - and the wonderful thing is, you are making a difference. Through Youtube they can tune in to Tyler and maybe a hard day becomes a little less painful. And that's understating the case. Seems you inspire and comfort quite a few young people who really value your help. That is an exceptional achievement.

In many cases Tyler things work differently for people. What comforts someone, may not comfort another person. Vice versa. It's very nice you are doing this but if you actually want to help someone, don't befriend them out of pity. Don't get into their business too much, it may make them uncomfortable, unless they say you can. Try to give eye contact, but not too much of it. Try to be there IF they asked; don't follow them. Be kind and yourself with them. Most importantly give them respect. lol.

When I was 11 and 12 I was very shy. VERY. I got insulted easily and I would cry. I cried in front of my class one day....yikes. I am 13 now, and people don't like me because, well, they are just bitches and hate me for no reason, even though I try to be nice, they won't accept. They say I'm a whore and a slut, and I laugh. They haven't looked into a mirror lately....
I have to thank my friends for my confidence. I still get upset, but it's usually because I think my friends are hurt, not me.

lately my self esteem is high or very low and im very self concious because year ago i used to get made fun of because of what i wear its sucks i do my best not to take seriously by saying "theyre not gonna remember this forever"
one day me and my friend had bad day and she pulled almost all of her muscle on her knee and then these boys walk by and yelled to her "thunder thighs!" (since shes not skinny)

sometime there are people in our lives we believe to be intelligent enough to know us and then they can let us down
For example - a parent, a family member, a friend
And if it is somebody you are emotionally entangled with it is more difficult to heal and re-love yourself
Hopefully not impossible, just more difficult

Guys when you´re old and you look back at your life what do you want to say? `What a waste of time` or `fuck yeah that was amazing`? In the end what does it matter if someone comes up to you and says`"hey you´re ugly". You´re not alive to look attractive for that person. I have only resently learnt to love myself and treat myself with respect. And I am SO MUCH HAPPIER now. Be who you are because the people that mind don´t matter and the people who matter don´t mind.

I work in a store that sells lottery tickets, and this guy came in and asked me for something specific, but he used the wrong terminology, so that threw me off and I had no idea what he was talking about. @PurpleHoneyBear - but he felt the need to berate me. So we argued about it, but I kept my professional demeanor as he basically called me stupid. "USE A LITTLE COMMON SENSE" etc etc. I don't remember all of it.
I have far more character than this guy. He comes in all the time with a mean look on his face and he lets you know how miserable he is all of the time. I am not perfect at my part time job, but at least I don't take my problems out on other people.

Tyler there is this guy who is really a master or pioneer of self esteem development and his name is Nathaniel Branden and he has a book "six pillars of self esteem " which is awesome...and just a note about him that he is a great scholar like he is a psychologist so he's not just a random dude...I really suggest everyone read his book...Hug <3 PS. this book has an audio version as well

I hate myself. It's nothing to do with anything any one else said, I don't care what other people think of me. I still hate myself, and I hate what I've become. I hate that I have tried to do something about it, but to understand how bad my pain is, you would have to see me when I break down. I am proud that I haven't had a big break down in 2 months. No matter what any one else says, I know that I have a lot of good in me, but I hate what I am.

On another note, I don't trust people who appear super confident in themselves. I like to see some (reasonable) uncertainty. It just seems more genuine and sincere. Otherwise you sound like a politician (which is a BAD thing.)
