And I get the feeling that you are comparing Welker to outside receivers and saying "if he lined up on #1 corners he wouldn't be good" Welker is a top 10 receiver because elite outside receivers would not put up the numbers he has over the last couple of seasons in a similar system. Like you said he is good in space, but that doesn't just happen. Welker is great because reads the defense using choice routes, adjusts accordingly and has the speed to create separation. Brady has elite accuracy and a quick release, while Wes has elite quickness and elusiveness. Both have high football IQs. The coaches can make whatever schemes they want, but in the end it's the players that have to go out there and perform. Belichick didn't throw 39 TD's and 4 INT's in a season, that was Brady. Belichick didn't break the record for most TD's in a season, that was Brady. The guy is one of the best ever, face it.
