Well -- except for the fact that the reverse is true. The android Sasqatch first showed up on TV in February 1976, a month before they even started filming Star Wars.
I can see Lucas making the connection by taking in a couple of episodes of TBW & SMDM, because at that time they were the only Sci-Fi in town!! He took the idea of the turning tunnel, which appeared in the Bigfoot episode, turned it around, using better special effects, making the tunnel into jumping into hyper space. The tunnel idea reappears on the Empire Strikes Back, as the ice planet hidden HQ! Lucas got his ideas watching SMDM and TBW! Who knew! ;-)
lol I remember the fembots and the venus probes. The probes especially (there were two of them, not just the one pictured here) scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.
I think Barney wasn't really a villain. He just couldn't handle being bionic, and Big Foot ended up being Steve's friend, so in the end, how could he be considered a villain?
Totally agree with having Lisa on that list Put the evil doctor who did the surgery on the list too! Then add Carlton Harris who everyone forgot! The man was pure evil and even used his son to try to get what he wanted! Good thing Jaime put him in the slammer!
@mrmagassi I agree, Lisa Galloway should be on that list, :Mirror Image" And "Deadly Ringer" are 2 of my all time favorite BW episodes. Lindsey Wagner won an Emmy for that role.
Some good choices but I would disregard Bigfoot because he wasn't really a villain and Barney Hiller just couldn't handle all that bionic power. I would have the fembots number one because they just freaked me out when I was a kid.
@HerrEllsworth True Big foot was not evil per say, but he was used for Eee-villl! It is funny, I grew up on this series, yrs later I caught up with it again, and wondered what I saw in it ( by todays standards-it's storytelling is very diffrent). But rewatched both series, again and really love it ...all over again!
The bionic big foot was played by the same guy who played the butler in the '60s television show, 'The Adams Family'.
