  • THANK YOU. There was no way I could read 27 pages of this nightmare in one sitting for English tomorrow.

  • Apocalypse Now is basically the Vietnam War version of this

  • Thanks for posting that! I couldn't find it !!

  • 240p... We meet again

  • @shawnk01

    Unoriginal comment... We meet again!

  • Funny, I always pictured Marlow with a mustache when I read the book.

  • THE BOOK IS SO LAME AND BORING I DONT KNOW HOW IM GOING TO GET THROUGH IT ERRR ENGLISH 4AP

  • @vuvubarbie What are you talking about? The book is awesome! Not so much a travel up the Congo as a dark voyage into the human psyche. The movie fails to portray this accurately, but Coppola and Martin Sheen captures some of it in "Apocalypse Now". Effing masterpiece by Conrad.

  • @vuvubarbie no it's not. it just takes a little bit of insight and intelligence to enjoy...

  • @wolfboii999 ok yall can chill now .my teach explaind the book more i actually apreciate and like the book more. we are actually doing a big project thing on it . im going to read it some more to futher get the depth of the story for myself so yeah it is a grate book. :)

  • yeah i have to read this for an english project. I'm being extra careful by watching the movie and reading sparknotes. Cause the book is hard as fuck

  • @1093jmb It's not so much hard as it is unbearable.

  • wow tim roth.......... worth watching even if this movie is more boring than the book.

  • Can anyone please help me? I'm reading Heart of Darkness now and I'm getting confused. I've gotten confused where after Marlow talks about how when he was a little boy he used to point at blank spotst on maps and say he wants to go there, then it talks about a man getting killed with a spear, then a vanished village, and I can't tell if Marlow it talking and explaing the story or if the narrator is. I can't tell if it's first or third person and I get confused as to when Marlow starts the story.

  • @bombfestFILMS Marlow is telling the story in first person to his crew. He's starts from his childhood but then skips ahead in time to his mission and the horrors he experiences. It's hard to follow but as you get drawn into the story it becomes more linear and easy to follow.

  • @Willrobert92 The story is really told by an unnamed narrator: there's a section in the story where Marlow breaks off & the narrator wonders whether anyone else is listening. Early on, Marlow starts talking & the narrator comments that we're in for another of Marlow's long-winded sea stories. Conrad wrote deliberately dense prose; in part, because English was his 2d language & 19th-cent. English lit. he'd be familiar with was similarly written.

  • @bombfestFILMS Marlow is telling the story of the commander he's replacing.

  • @ZachariasClub So I take it that the commander's story isn't in the movie?

  • @bombfestFILMS The commander's story that marlow tells is basically "The old commander died after attacking the native tribes chief, then his ship left, so I got appointed his job"

  • I was scanning thru this vid to see a boy with a electric firing device..

  • Can't we all just get along and be friends?

  • @dreapster Hey, shut up. You're stupid idiot.

  • apocalypse nows ugly cousin?

  • @blaiserfilms yeah apocalyse now was amzing.

  • I guess the 1 who doesn't like that movie should get a teaching lesson right away!

  • "i agree on wht did joseph conrad wante to tell us.." those fucking people who discriminate by d colors nationality etc. all of us are created by god..." all human are inherently evil and his evilness is being masked by the civilization..

  • that book sucks

  • @speaker3600 You're probably a teenager.

  • @Cam1Deathsnake so am i. way to generalize like an ignorant twat.

  • well this beats reading the book for school i guess

  • fuck you you idiot

  • wow, this marlow is quite seductive :)

  • Thanks for putting this up. This is a movie I enjoy greatly but only own at the moment on VHS. I'd appreciate your putting the rest up as soon as you can. But, please, try not to cut the parts of at such random moments. You can make them up to ten minutes, you know. Thanks again.
