  • i wish it was finish.......wayy better than gossip girl...or twilight

  • SOOOO where was she those 5 years? What happened to her??? How the story supposed to finish??? Damn damn damn!!! THis movie probably would be such a great romantic comedy... if would be of course :(((

  • That would've been a great movie had it been completed. I enjoyed watching what they did have. It was marvelous!

  • Billy wilder should have directed it.

  • Wonderful job, thank you for sharing this.

  • The wonder of movie making, from watching this you'd NEVER know that there were all those problems in making this movie. Ms Monroe looks and sounds so great but we all know how very different it really was.

  • It seemed like they were actually going in order of sequence, as most movies are shot out of sequence!

  • Who woudlnt finish a movie with the legendary marilyn monroe ?

  • @TheNatedagreat4 she died....

  • @peachkeeny you dont think i knw aha

  • @peachkeeny she was fired... then she died

  • last part of the film

  • I love how you can hear the director yell cut in the end :)

  • That was interesting. The story was awful though, and Marilyn didn't seem to into the part. Great wigs. Nice her last movie was color and not a black and white, like the in Misfits.

  • she was so beautiful! I enjoy her play! she is just great!

  • this was a really good movie and it would have been amazing when it was finished. all the cast was great and Marilyn was incredibly beautiful, as always. R.I.P

  • wow such an amazing film you wouldnt really believe the drama and arguments that went into this. i laughed and hell i even had a tear in my eye when it suddenly stopped

  • she coulnt finish the movie because she was fired. its not because she died. i just watched a documentry video on this movie with the photographers . she was always calling in sick and never worked. the movie was 1 million over budget and was going nowhere. they fired her and was decided that lee remick will replace her.. But no matter what Marilyn is my idol, i love her soo much and i look upto her. <3

  • @333fulish yeah i saw a documentary 2 she was fired but den she was rehired and sadly died and couldn't finish the movie

  • Rent the movie "Move Over Darling" for the reshoot of the movie starring Doris Day and James Garner. I personally think that the chemistry of Martin and Monroe was not that great. It's better with Day and Garner. Monroe was not believable as a sex symbol, and wife and mother at the same time. Though she is a good actress, the story just wouldn't have jibed with her image. Martin also not that strong in these scenes.

  • So... how would it have ended???

  • They should have had Dorothy Dandridge finish the movie with Dean. I am sure he would have liked her since she was attractive and had a fascinating figure. However, whites were so racist then that they would not even thought for a second to put her with Dean. Racism, a stupid idea, is what had prevented a lot of blacks from getting roles they could have shined in.

  • @celestialpathway

    what ? #$%!&

  • @consrignornt In the future, please do not respond to my comments by using profanity or any negativity that I may find offensive. Thank you.

  • I got a sudden rush of sadness after watching this. Seeing Dean and Monroe..so glorious, cheerful and alive.. and they're gone now....

  • she was very much ahead of her time i think. i bet she could fit perfetly in to the celebrity life today, and would probably be better looked after as people were a bit more ruthless and cruel back in those days (from what i've been told anyway). R.I.P to a lovely lady.

  • awww that was lovely to watch. im a big MM fan when i was in my teens my bedroom wallswere full of only posters of her.And i made scrap books of her that i still got today 20 years later. R.I.P Norma Jean. xx

  • Oh. My. God. Lmao. I wish this movie was finished!!!! D= I'm like... sad. Lol. Ohh Marilyn.

  • rest in peace

  • It is sad and disappointing that this film couldn't have been finished. She had set up the finishing of it before her death. I thought maybe when they said that it would be digitally finished that they would somehow insert her in final scenes or use doubles or something. Instead they just ended it. Maybe some things should be left to the memories and what might have been.....

  • Has anyone have confirmation that Marilyn's line "Here he is ... " - when Wally Cox/shoe salesman doesn't show until she says "Here he is ... " a second time.(3.55 onwards) - was an in-joke giving a nod to Marilyn's late arrival to the stage when introduced twice to sing Happy Birthday to JFK ("Here she is ... ") ? Having watched the documentaries and checked wiki, this portion of the movie would have been filmed the very same month, not long after her appearance at JFK's birthday on May 19th

  • @ikos123 great observation!!!

  • most beautiful women that ever lived<3 it's sad to know that women are becoming less and less innocently beautiful..willing to show more of their bodies and less of their hearts. marilyn could do it all!!

  • What would you give to be with Marilyn today?

  • i wish the movie would have been finished ): its so good so far.. and marilyn is absolutly amazing!

  • Marilyn is more beautiful than all the actresses of nowadays combined.

  • Who is that GOREGOUS homosexual in the white swim trunks!!???

  • Last scene with Dean and Wally is great! The way she pats his arm after he talks about researching vegetation, too funny.

  • Comment removed

  • Don Knots played the shoe salesman in the other remake. Wally Cox was a good actor, but he was not Don Knots.

  • The part of the film that was completed promised a fairly good comedy, probably better than the original it was remaking (with Randolph Scott, I think). MM's acting here is quite good, though her dolphin-like squeaks in the pool throw some suspicion on her mental state. The way the very small children were permitted to swim, initially, unsupervised and then use hammer and nails whilst precariously perched high above a hard tiled floor made me a little anxious. Thanks for this memento.

  • @Hendrikdevuile I was thinking the same about those kids. O_o

  • Wow what a great actress! You'd never think she would die just a few months later. I love you Marilyn!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • She never looked more beautiful.

  • Im a new subscriber, so this is a first THANK YOU- For allowing this. It put's the darkness I often think of away and bring's Marilyn to light. She truly is amazing. I thank you a second time for all you do marilyntkm.

    Azuree

  • PLEASE remove that INSANELY annoying text in the middle of the screen! PLEEEEAAAAASE!!!!!!

  • I wonder what george cukor had planned in the remaining scenes?

It would be very interesting to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was there a storyboard and artwork?location shots? and rehearsal recordings?

I would love to get a copy of the script!

    concerned MM fan ian.

  • It looks like with today's technology some computer genius would be able to replicate the actors' and actresses' images and use the current footage to complete the movie. Probably be an immense amount of legal red tape with all the estates and such.... but wouldn't it be a great tribute. BTW the movie follows the other movies (My Favorite Wife w/ Cary Grant & Irene Dunne and Move Over, Darling w/ James Garner & Doris Day) scripts pretty closely if you want to see how they end.

  • Tom Tryon- YOWZA! What a guy to be stuck on an island with for 5 1/2 years! He had a short but exciting film career, and then walked away from it anf became a writer. He got this job because he was one of George Cukor's "stable" of male friends that attended George's exclusive and famous Sunday brunches, which consisted of George's gay and gay-friendly Hollywood friends. Those who stayed after the brunch for the swim party usually were the hunky male up-and-coming actors in Hollywood.

  • I wonder What would of happened in the rest of the movie? Marilyn was great in this!

  • WOW, what a waste, all terrific actors, must watch it is the best.

  • this makes me sad that they couldnt finish it

    it was amazing

    god makes me wanna cry

  • this was put together very well

    :)

  • its 2 bad they couldnt finish the movie. its good.

  • That final look and laugh at the end...

  • @rafcale i dont think she laughs at the end.Maybe its because of the letters in the middle but it seems like she wants to burst into tears :(

  • @Melodylife1 he/she meant at the end of the video, after the credits, you hear Marilyn laugh.

  • @peachyyy93 ooooh :)

  • Wish they would make suits like that, now.

    Marilyn looks wonderful.

  • she looks exquisite!

  • Never seen this before.Amazing! thanks.I think this would have been a brilliant film & dragged MM into with the new surf / twist era of '62.

Problem was M M 's personal life was too messy for her to be professional. The discipline to complete a movie was gone.

But this film is much more funnier & chic, stylish than I thought.

  • Move over DArling is awful! How can you compare the two!!!

  • Just think ... this gorgeousness was replaced by the long hair, hippy movement. Give me the refined Marilyn look over... Janice Joplin.

  • Don't forget the "Jackie" look...the early 60's was all about that Jacqueline Kennedy style...

  • Such a shame - I would have loved to have seen the end.....

  • this would have been a really good movie

  • Thank you so much for posting this.

  • she was only 36 when she died, that is hardly "old"!

and she lived a rough life and was depressed and had endometrosis, which probably cause her miscarriages.

    I suspect a troll...

  • What an insensative thing to say.

  • well, Swedish, gal. I guess if you die in 9 years, at the same age Marilyn died, then you'll consider yourself old and worthy of death.

You must be a Malmo Swede if you don't understand the fact that a woman can be childless at 36!

  • James Garner and Doris Day did a way better version of this movie called "Move Over Darling"

  • @kmirby Doris Day and James Garner did a much more LAME version of this film.

  • its such a damn waste that they canned this film...but jus before her death there were talks with Fox n marilyn to resume filming for it...crying shame..

  • But its also SHORT

  • its great i just wish the volum was higher

    But besides that it GREAT

  • so why can't theypiece it together like they did twilight zone!??? I'm sure that add MM voice people to a lot of her pictures and add thoughts..

  • This was a great movie and they should not have fired Marilyn...even if it was hard for her to do this film, in the end the end product would have been terrific ..Marilyn was good in it and I dont see any fault in her acting at all

  • OMG, Marilyn, you were not only beautiful on the outside you were also beautiful in the inside. I just love you so much. Thank you for giving us the gift of seeing you on the big screen. I have all your movies and I watch them frequently. I know you are in heaven with our maker. And may He bless you and keep you safe in his arms. RIP, my sweet angel.

  • It's so tragic that this film could've been so great, and that we could've seen such amazing work from Marilyn. I think she really would've come into her own afer this film.

  • Gosh, that would have been a great movie had it been finished. A shame. Let's remember her birthday on June 1st/

  • This would have made such a good movie, i wished they had finished it

  • sad that it didn't finnish...could u imagine something like that happening to the dark knight, who knows what this film could have been if it had finnished

  • although this one's definitly sexier . . . . but marilyn doing her breathy/sexy voice thing for a whole movie's kinda irritating

  • i still love the original cary grant n' irene dunne version the best. The dialogue so much snappier in 'my favorite wife' than it is in marilyn or doris's versions, and the acting cute and clever.

  • Every inch a star! Marilyn seemed to be devloping - or developed - a somewhat more natural acting style in this role. While it's still clearly Monroe all the way, she seemed less mannered, less of her 50's style sexy. In any event - the woman had "it" all the way - combined with a likeability factor. I hope she found peace. She deserved it after all the joy she gave and continues to give till this day.

  • @Billcoxyz I totally agree --- she's a different (and better) actress here than ever before. The ending is exquisitely poignant.

  • @Billcoxyz wow that was beautiful! i hope she did find peace cause she was going thru soo much.

  • @SexiKittie

you can only find peace when you are alive

    what a stupid comment

  • oh Marilyn I feel such a longing in my heart like so many countless others when I see this :( I wonder what REALLY happened to you dear. R.I.P. and much love to you beautiful movie star*

  • My God, what a beautiful woman she was. We'll never know what could have been. Even unfinished this is a great story. God rest you Marilyn, you are so very missed.

  • aww i so wished it was finished! Marilyn was amazing in this scenes! thanks for posting

  • CUT THATS A TAKE

  • NOOOOO!! Damn it! I wish it was finished =(. Omg =(. I was so into it too. Aw well. I loved the parts they did finish though! Again thanks for uploading! Marilyn and Dean make a good couple, I think =P !

    ~Jade808~

  • This may have been Marilyn's best film......

  • alluring beauty of marilyn. very fascinating. Marilyn's never ending magic. Rest in Paradise MM. Miss ya

  • the movie was great...marilyn was so famous but sad...people in the entertainment industry should have given her more respect...its what she really wanted.great upload, thanks for sharing....

  • So sad :( What a great movie it would have been! Marilyn looked more beautiful than ever! The world lost so much.

  • I wasn't prepared for the 'ending'... This is so sad... Wow..

    Sweet Marilyn.

  • It is SO time to put this together and try to make something of it.. She truly plays this role dramatically. Finally. It was what she wanted to do. You can see this whole story of these characters in the film " my favorite wife" But .........Marilyn had it here.

  • She was marvelous in that last scene with Martin and Cox. The three of them had great give and take.

  • This movie looks like it would have been damn good. It was incredibly sad to watch this but I'm glad I did.

    Rest In Peace Marilyn

    You were one fantastic lady

  • R.I.P. MM

  • oh ... my ... this is sad with the cut and everything my heart really aches .... i wish that i could just turn back the time and see that iresistable smile of the great and whom i really respect Marilyn Monroe...i wish that i could just feel that glory days of MM....rest in peace pretty lady....

  • god this movie would have been awesome it sucks that her life was cut short she was barely reaching her full potential.

  • It Sure Would Have Been A Classic I Don't Think There Will Ever Be Another Actress Like Marilyn In All Of Her Movies Even Some Of Her Very Early Pictures Were She Only Had A Small Part She Always Lit Up The Screen I Love Her Movies My Favorite Are Some Like It Hot The Seven Year Itch And Gentlemen Prefer Blonde's

If This Had Been Completed It Might Have Been My All time Favorite Movie Such A Shame That Someone So Beautiful So Delicate Had To Be Taken So Early From A World That Adored Her

  • I'll say like the others... I watched all 4 videos and it's very sad they couldn't finish it :(

    RIP beautiful Marilyn!

  • sad the movie was never finished it could've became one of the classic good ones. Such a real classic beauty with no needs for reflectors and enhancements unlike today. Rest in peace MM....

  • when the director yells cut you can kinda see that it makes marilyn jump a little bit

  • I'm stunned...so wonderful, yet such an abruppt trucation of both a great film as well as a legendary actress

  • omg when they said "cut" and it went off i wanted to cry. marilyn monroe is my idol

  • THey showed this on AMC a few times. Sad as Marilyn was excellent in this role.

Fox was supposedly going to rehire her. They were idiots to have fired her in the first place. Come on, this was Marilyn Monroe:) Marilyn did have a bad illness during filming so did take a few days off but the public loved her. There are things you have to put up with to get the best.

THe pool pics alone in Life magazine cover released by Fox should have covered Marilyn's wages.

  • simplemente hermosa como un angel.... la adoro

  • thats it?!?! so not fair!! i want more!! the first part was really good. its a shame that they didnt finish it. i believe that people should have seen what a great actress she was and how much talent she to offer and didnt pass her off as some 'sex symbol'. she was such an amazing actress. she was so beautiful and had so much talent. its so so sad that she died so young. r.i.p. Norma Jeane

  • Thats it, thats it! What! I want more! It really sounds like it could have been an award winning movie,if they had that stuff in the 60's :p Oh, I wish Marilyn could have finshed this, she looked stunning in this picture! I even think that she looked more beautiful in this one than in most of her others, but thats just me. Its soo sad, I wish she didnt have to go so soon! I want more Marilyn!!!! :[

  • NOOOO!!!!!!! i want more

  • Que genial ver esta pelicula....que bien que actuaba M.M se habia convertido con el tiempo en una gran comediante era Marilyn...se la veia mucho mas delgada y hermosa que en sus ultimos filmes... una pena que no se haya terminado...

  • what a ledgend

    so tragic

    so misterious

    so beautiful

    realey inspirering

  • i get the feeling that

she is tired and nervous.. when she talkes with that nice soft voyce like she does in her roles beying seductive you know

here it sonds like she nervous like she acting but something that´s in the back of here head bothering and notibelsey on the end look slike she is confused with why did they cut it if she is half asleep like i was on my work last week hehe...it´s clear sign of her personal troubles

  • this would havee been a great movie if she got to finish it

  • i would have loved to see her finish this.

    it wouldve been soo good

  • They did this film with Doris Day one year later (completed)

  • ayy dios =( i wish she would of finish!!

    r.i.p

    beauitful!

  • She was a method actress. When you get into a role, especially with a good actor, you can sometimes forget that you're in front of an audience or a camera.

  • i dont understand, marilyn looks surprized when they call cut. Did she not know they were going to end it there?

  • she blows my mind

  • I read in the paper a good while ago, that they were going to digitally fill in the missing pieces of this version. I think that it would be rather interesting, but it's still a shame that she didnt get to finish it!

  • love her!!!

i wish she could have finsed it!!!

  • love her!!!

i wish she could have finsed it!!!

  • tragic M... a star in the sky and didn't she shine brightly for this short piece of work considering!

  • omg i was stared to like this movie

  • this is so sad. this movie would have been amazing. such a shame. rip marilyn.
