I use plastic primer instead of adhesion promoter. I prefer it, the only problem I have is clear coat. I can never get it to look just right.

My can of paint says drys to the touch in 15 mins or less and handle after 1 hour. Its been like 2 hours and do you think its ok to assemble it and put the stipes on then unassemble it or should I wait 24 hrs?

I custom painted my xbox controller using valspar spraypaint from lowes. I put 3 coats of paint. Then I clear coated it. When I play the paint wears off and it marks very very easily. What can I do to protect it better.

@Flyman619 the adhesion promoter ONLY goes onto the plastic of the controller. it will not be sprayed on top of paint or it will ruin it.

Why don't you just put the stickers on it first, then peel them off when done painting and settle with yellow and white, because that already looks cool and would be easier...
