The GT3 is designed for the track, not to race in a straight line. But I'll tell you this, from first hand experience - the new 2010 GT3 can beat the Gallardo, Murcielago, F430, F456, and a 2009 Porsche Turbo (all automatics with egear or tip) in a straight line by 1/2 to a full car length in a 1/4 mile run! On a curved track, the GT3 will destroy all of the above cars by several car lengths. It is so fast. You guys should rent one (if u can find one) and race it. You will see!!

Maybe it will beat it with a good driver, but it will not stomp it, that's a fact. The quarter mile times are barely 3 tenths of a second apart, and i've seen quarter mile times where the GT2 is faster, it depends on the tester who's driving the car. The zr1 is harder to drive since the weight balance is more towards the front. I'm not saying the zr1 isn't a decent car, but if the porsche has the same hp, it will win every time

There must have been something wrong with the gt3 rs or the gallardo is tuned and nobody is saying anything. The gt3 rs is slower than the gt2 but not by that much i would have thought the gt3rs would beat the gallardo if both standard, a tubi wouldnt make that much difference.

Can someone do some of these vids againgst tvr's like griffith 500's and stuff for those of us who like TVR's im sure they would lose top end but it would be interesting to see. Theres only 1 with a tuscan that i can see.

lol, a GT3 is much slower than the GT2 for your info and especially on rolls. The GT2 has high technology Bi-turbo chargers in the back making it produce almost 100 more hp than the N/A engined GT3 RS.

the lambo has 5.2L V10 and this one specifically has the egear...

The "E-gear" allows the driver to make shifts much faster than a manual transmission would. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, and does not and cannot manually actuate the clutch.

The 1st video we did was a 2004 Gallardo manual gearbox. This one had both EGear, tubi exhaust and also a later model thus different gearing.

Also, it was two years between the tests and completely different weather, surroundings and more.
