I iwkll start taking these people serious when they start holding Obama and the democrats responsible for their actions over the last five years. All the , correct, blaming of Bush for his actions is fine. However, there has been a democratic majority in the congress for four out of the last five years and a democratic president for three out of five. Until I see the blame being apportioned to the democrats as well as the republicans, you are just a bunch of astroturf phonies.
Good for him! Ironic that he served meals to 3 presidents including the Bush that helped create this atrocity and now he is out of work and feeding the men and women that, like him are out of work and wondering how it all came to this....HERO!!!!!!!
unfortunately, i hear that the OWS crowd is saying they wont serve high end food anymore until the homeless go away. Apparently, the 99% don't feel its okay to feed the homeless while occupying. I saw it on the front page of newspaper yesterday but didnt catch the name of it. I guess the middle class OWS-ers still dont want to bridge THAT gap.
I actually witnessed "homeless bias". The OWS near me (Occ Hartford, CT) has decided 2 segregate the OWS people & the homeless people in the area that they r "Occupying" which is really just a random unused and unvisited piece of land in an area that no 1 would really visit on their own. My friend knows some people there who feel the homeless r becoming a problem with asking for food and warm blankets. I generally dont trust the news; google it 4 urself and tell me what u come up with.
@dezinediva Did you know that Google has been removing videos of police brutality from their search engine as well as here on YouTube. It's not a rumor, they admit it. I believe u. All I'm saying is it was probably 1 of a few isolated incidents that were blown out of proportion to make the whole movement look hypocritical. Don't forget that the NY Post is a gossip mag, kin to OK and US weekly & Google couldn't be more "1%." Protected self interest. BTW friendly talk no offense :)
@mamamax212 i take no offense. There's way 2 much going on in the world, such as the censoring of the violence & outright murder in LIbya. If the Post is blowing the homeless/OWS situation up, and we all know Google can't be trusted (have you ever tried Scroogle dot org? I like 2 use that too) it's really not as big of a deal because the OWSers aren't the people that got us into this mess. I believe that some storys and "trolls" are planted to cause discord anyway. Divided we fall.
@dezinediva I hear you on that... It's frightening to know how much we actually have in common with the movements over seas. Information manipulation. Secret police. Planted agitators within the movement. And most unfortunately the number of our citizens that blindly believe what the government as a whole spins out daily. I think that a lot of people hear don't realize just how much our liberties have been squashed. They cheer for the constitution while voting to trample it... Sad Irony...
@mamamax212 Actually, thats not true. US police pressured Google to take down police brutality vids but Google refused. Go look it up. The enemy is not the corporations, its the government. big difference.
@jimmiale Calm down! I believe this person is on our side. If a demonstrator witnessed it then its not impossible. Sources r important of course but we r non-violent. That should apply to judgement and language too. Free Speech is our only real power as a people. Remember that. I'm not scolding u just a friendly reminder!
@dezinediva The Newspaper source of that information is greatly important. If u recall, it was the Wall-Street Journal that put a giant photograph of a female Oakland police officer petting a kitten on the front page the morning after an Iraq war veteran was hit in the head with a "projectile" fired by the officers that were supposedly "keeping the peace." Sources of Info MATTER (ie.Fox News). If u recall this chef said that he was making simple meals of salad and broth. Not high end.
@mamamax212 Post, i Googled it and it said the NY Post. But I actually wasnt referring to this particular chef, who has also been affected like most of us 99%. He's just cooking, the articles I found talked about different OWS kitchen workers. I also read that many people think if the OWS people think the homeless are freeloading, then they could put them to work as in a way to earn their meals, and give them some useful on the job type training. IDK, but it's worth a thought.

@1yearoldfather I did a part time job that payed £100 for 20 hours work, which was easy work and better than the £55 dole money. Also, I did another bit of part time, which was around £120 for 20 hours work. I work as a stonemason, but I personally would not feel belittled if I did a shift or two stacking shelves or whatever. No problem. How about you? I am curious. :)
Imagine if we all just quit before you got laid off or fired. How do you think that would effect the so called "job creators", or I mean "elite". This is a good person in this story. We all should serve this cause in some way, peacefully.
@1yearoldfather You know, do not think that I don't sympathise. But couldn't he get a little bit of part time work? Personally, I believe that dole money is enough to live on. As for myself, I have enough money saved to last me between two and three years, yes.
its a sad story. i feel bad for my children having to see that this once great nation has been sold to the highest bidder, and will continue to be controlled i don't see much in the way of a positive outcome for any of us here in the US, slowly but surely they will economically defeat all of the average people into submision. what will become of our future
Protest have been going on for 6 weeks now and the government has failed to address the concerns of the people. They are not going to go away with the jobless rate climbing.
its good to see people from all walks of life, race, sex, background or religion come together for common good...if the community grows bigger like this helping each other without the need to use money...believe me.. that is when the evil monetary system will collapse down....the only problem that stands in the way to archive this goal is disunity...the Globalists know this that is why their #1 tactic is to DIVIDE & CONQUER

@Robbb54321 Lol. use your brain and think about how the federal reserve hurts the economy and diminishes jobs. Then think about banks playing with peoples savings using derivatives and then losing the savings of millions. This millions in the end are bailed out by the goverment who gets its money from... FROOOM! yep, from us, the tax payers, so we end up losing twice as much. Get informed, don't adopt a point of view without seen the entire picture. Only when you know every aspect you can judge.
LOL , you know every aspect of the financial crisis do ya? How did banks "play with peoples savings using derivatives? What is a derivative? How were MBS's packaged to make AAA paper and then sold and to whom were the MBS's sold?
@jjrglobal Well to keep it short derivatis is a kind of loan that doesn't need to be transparent (this means you can missinform) and that protects the people that issue them. People that take on those loans have everything to lose, and just as seen on real live, they did infact lose everything. MBSs were derivatives and they were manipulated in such a way that they looked like really good deals, but they weren't. The bad ones are the ones that provoked the crisis and they were bailed by state.
@jjrglobal This bail didn't help the people btw. They still lost their homes, but the banks kept on functioning like nothing happend. Now, i want to ask you something. I were a bank, and i made those murky deals with you and you lost everything. You think it is reasonable to bail me out when the bubble bursts? or would it be more racional to fine me for everything i took and then some, and give the money back to the people? or atleast let them keep their homes. Banks own goverment wake up.
This foul and lying government is USING OWS as a test for martial law for something bigger to come in the form of a false flag terror attack. Mark my words.
@deoriginalish87 You're lucky. I presume that you have a job but never be too confident: things can change very quickly, and the vast majority are but one pay cheque away from destitution. How many pay cheques away are you?
People were setup over 10 years when they dismantled Glass-Steagal You're wasting your time with the hippie-fest. The satanists aren't going to have any sympathy for insects. "Wall Street" are useless eaters. They really can't give you anything, except paper and promises. Only real essential work will dig you out.
@charnel8 no yoou have to have a sence of scruples in this people may make fun of me cause i was a chefbut i did my job and did it wellin my proffessionnever trust a skinny cook
@jjrglobal I understand your logic, but here in the States when they say 1 out of 6 living in poverty means ppl making 25,000 a year or less. Which is a true statement if not 4 out of 6.

So give them 72hrs notice order every single cent.

They think they can control the protests because they do control the police.

②Jesus said, "If those who lead you say, 'See, the Kingdom is
in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they

Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you.

Amazing, society needs more people like Eric.

We are the 1 percent: 1. We're willing to do whatever it takes to find work including changing our career. 2. We easily can pass any drug test. 3. We don’t have felonies. 4. We only blame ourselves if we end up as a failure. 5. We are problem solvers. 6. We have high ambitious goals and we start and finish them. 7. We are so busy working either in college or at our jobs, that we do not have time to sit outside. 8. We do not dress or act as being hopeless. 9. We use our BRAINS. We are the 1 % .
Robbb54321 4 months ago
@Robbb54321 Lol. use your brain and think about how the federal reserve hurts the economy and diminishes jobs. Then think about banks playing with peoples savings using derivatives and then losing the savings of millions. This millions in the end are bailed out by the goverment who gets its money from... FROOOM! yep, from us, the tax payers, so we end up losing twice as much. Get informed, don't adopt a point of view without seen the entire picture. Only when you know every aspect you can judge.
elgorre 4 months ago
@elgorre
LOL , you know every aspect of the financial crisis do ya? How did banks "play with peoples savings using derivatives? What is a derivative? How were MBS's packaged to make AAA paper and then sold and to whom were the MBS's sold?
jjrglobal 4 months ago
@jjrglobal Well to keep it short derivatis is a kind of loan that doesn't need to be transparent (this means you can missinform) and that protects the people that issue them. People that take on those loans have everything to lose, and just as seen on real live, they did infact lose everything. MBSs were derivatives and they were manipulated in such a way that they looked like really good deals, but they weren't. The bad ones are the ones that provoked the crisis and they were bailed by state.
elgorre 4 months ago
@jjrglobal This bail didn't help the people btw. They still lost their homes, but the banks kept on functioning like nothing happend. Now, i want to ask you something. I were a bank, and i made those murky deals with you and you lost everything. You think it is reasonable to bail me out when the bubble bursts? or would it be more racional to fine me for everything i took and then some, and give the money back to the people? or atleast let them keep their homes. Banks own goverment wake up.
