the wolf population is low in lower Michigan but the wolves in the Upper peninsula are increasing. In the winter some of the wolves cross the ice down to lower Michigan. It is an amazing thing. The sacred wolf is by far my favorite mammal. Blessings...Elizabeth
We live 29 miles from lake Michigan, near the Sleeping Bear Dunes. I have pictures of the SLP on my myspace bethsmeadow. They are a truly awesome sight. The sunsets there are stunning. It definitely is a sacred place with a great myth as to its creation. Thanks ...Elizabeth
We have alot of coyotes right beyond our yard in a large forest. They talk alot late at night and cover alot of miles around us. We live in Northwestern Michigan in the sub artic zone. We have wonderful nighttime temps. Thanks for such upclose and personal visit with the beautiful coyote. Blessings...Elizabeth
You're welcome. You've got wolves up there too right? Are you near one of the lakes? As close as I've been to Michigan is Chicago many moons ago over a Memorial Day weekend. Lovely temps -- in the 70s. Then a storm suddenly blew in and it got down to 45 -- in May!
all of the animals are good too and play an important role in the ecosystem . like for instance the grizzly bear that you white brothers killed of also the catamount and the wolf.i am cherokee indian by the way. and what you white europeons have done to us and our land is terrible. whites will have there day!
