  • Hey Bittah - Hope you guys can release this new 1.11 soon, because I like the cconcept, but I feel the next one is going to be HUGELY better.. .My advice would be, don't waste time adding new content, but hange a lot of the stuff which failed in 1.10 - We as gamers, all love C&C the way it is, if only it was bug free, we'd all be very happy.. Wh not for 1.11 just change what was wrong with 1.10.. call it 1.10a or soething, then you guys can go to town on 1.11 adding new content.

  • @putpudakst This actually happens on several desert maps in DTA 1.10. This problem is caused by certain terrain and the only way to avoid the freezes is to avoid playing on the desert maps that get them. Unfortunately I'm unable to tell you exactly which ones freeze and which don't (I can only tell you that none of the temperate maps freeze), but I can at least tell you that this problem has been solved in DTA 1.11 (which will be released before 2012).

  • @vlad007001 Yes, they're in. In case you missed it, DTA 1.11 has already been released; watch the trailer if you haven't already (youtube won't allow me to post a link to it, but it shouldn't be hard to find).

  • Change the below list, and make the buildings either the original squares and shapes in TD, or change the buildings to be fully 3d, but with the look of the TD buildings.

    For instance, like I already said, Sam sites, are jus one suare now and are same way as buildings face, they do not run parralel to the walls in their design.

    Oh and ..

    7) - Enemy tanks can fire over walls but my rocketmen cannot? wtf? Please fix this list of things to make your mod 100000000000 times better.

  • I don't like this mod one bit, lots needs to be changed,

    1) - Artillery untis fire with far too much distance away from the target.

    2) - 3d model squares, on a 2d based map, do not look or feel right.

    3) - There's no Campaign levels,

    4) - You can be atacked by enemy ion cannons even if they haven't found you yet.

    5) - Walls run on a diagonal line, buildings face diagonally, means Sa sites cant run along parralel to walls anymore.

    6) Some squares are not available close to edge of map.

    1) - The weapon range of the artillery has already been reduced for DTA 1.11.

    2) - It's a limitation of the TS engine and thus can't be helped. Building foundations can only be diamond-shaped in TS.

    3) - There will be a few in DTA 1.11.

    4) - Engine limitation.

    5) - Engine limitation.

    6) - Engine limitation.

    7) - This has already been fixed for DTA 1.11.

    You have to realize DTA is build on the TS engine and there's certain things that simply can't be done with the TS engine.

  • @Byakuga100 actually C&C 1 did have skirmish...or at least for me, if i remember right i'd go to "lan game" or something and start a lan game and add "computer players" and play vs No one AKA skirmish

  • Man I beat TS my junior/senior year in highschool. Back in 2000 man this game ruled. I love the first CNC. Had it for PS1. It ruled!! 15 year CNC vet here and I say this thing kicks ASS!!

    If you give your custom map a .dpr extension, it should show up at the bottom of the multiplayer maps list ingame (whether the map works or not).

  • i downloaded the game, it's awesome, but i already found issues:

    - first of all, when you play the map delirious island with 7 computers, and build a warfactory/airstrip, you cannot build any tanks/jeeps/harvesters...

    - Second, an issue what exists since red alert, is when 1 computer is destroyed, all the others will attack you, they team up and won't attack each other anymore, just you.

    - And finally, in the enhanced mode, the hover and the artillery shoot way too far (in my opinion)

  • 1-Yes, I know about this issue. It only occurs on naval maps in classic mode.

    2-That's the "Paranoid" logic. I could've disabled it, but I left it on in DTA 1.10 because the AI wouldn't be much of a challenge otherwise. The AI will be a lot more powerful on its own in DTA 1.11 however, so they won't team up anymore then (you'll have to wait a few months for DTA 1.11 though).

    3-The Hover MLRS and Artillery both will be rebalanced a bit in DTA 1.11.

  • @vlad007001 In DTA 1.10 there are only 2 maps that allow you to build naval units: Connexion and Delirious Island.

  • hey can i suggest tjhat when you make 1.11 can u make that the buildings when you build come out on a vertical square not a diamond?cause i wanna build my buildings beside each other but i cant so can like modify it?

  • Considering I'm using Tiberian Sun's engine to build my mod upon, this is impossible.

  • Wow this is great. Mod and vid! I'd love to see the Red Alert factions in this style, preferably alongside GDI and Nod ^^. Of course I'm not asking that of you lol. Your hard work here has clearly paid off.

    Adding the Red Alert factions actually was the plan when I just started off working on this mod, although someone else was supposed to work on those factions. Unfortunately he lost motivation to continue working on them and when he had to move, he lost all work he had already done.

    I've considered adding the RA factions myself, but considering the long list of things from RA that aren't supported by the TS engine, I decided it isn't worth the effort.

  • Maybe you can put some oil derrecks (like in generals) in the game you can capture for money or a care package with emp strike that you can use everywhere on the map (like the ion cannon and nuclair strike), or emp building. Ion storms or trains going through the map would also be very cool. Just something that came into my head :LoL:. Does the DTA also contain missions?

  • Oil derricks can't work, because Tiberian Sun doesn't have the logic to give a player credits without harvesting tiberium or picking up a crate.

    It's up to the mappers whether they want to add an ion storm to their map or not and I haven't made any map that'd be good for an ion storm yet myself.

    Train tracks and trains already exist, but so far only the tracks have been used on just a single map.

    And no, DTA doesn't have any missions.

    btw what is the Enhanced mode ?

  • There's no need to install TS to be able to play DTA ;)

    As you can see in the video, the Enhanced mode adds a couple of new units and features and also changes the game balance a bit.

    The Hover MLRS, the ships, the laser fence, the visceroid superweapon, the microwave tanks, the XO Powersuit and the A10 Warthogs you see in the trailer are all only available in the enhanced mode.

    Thx 4 the tips on modding and I see u have been busy with the naval units and advanced version of this mod! :) So whats your plans for the future are you gonna continue progress on this mod or move onto another modern game engine like cnc4? and do you still plan to make a gdi/nod vs allies/soviets in the future? :)

    Have you thought about sending this off to EA with a CV I think you would be employed rather quickly!
