Agreed, magic is too strong, i just go without it, not really feeling up to using Sorcery or Pyromancy, too much damage, I stick to a few Miracles however

@SuckerGamer All I used was Pyromancy to beat the Iron Golem. Makes the game more fun because it's at least somewhat easier. I don't know if I can imagine beating that boss without it since I was dealing at least 400 damage with each Pyromancy (I think it was around 700 with the Chaos Fireball or whatever it's called). This game would be a hellish nightmare if I hadn't looked up so much about it.

Thats demon's souls... and demon's souls did but it wasn't noticeable until you died like 30 times on the same world without making any progress...then it just gets even harder instead of getting easier.

But I dont know how world tendency works in dark souls...and if you dont know what world tendency is...it controls a few things.If its black(which you can get from doing"bad/evil"things or dieing a lot like i mentioned)Bad things happen.opposite for white world tendency.
