You will have to do a system restore =/

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Resotre

And Restore it to before you put norton on there....it sounds like your only option =/

just uninstall it, then reinstall it, then restart your PC.

Tyler, that's pretty ingeneous. I did as you said and I can add the "-p" but all I show is the "Firefox-Choose User Profile" bar on the taskbar but it doesn't open for me so I can't go to the 2nd step or phase of your fix. Could you help me with this? Btw this all started when I did a system restore cause an add-on from Mozilla Fx disabled my RealPlayer ability to record or dl vids to my computer so that was MY FIX but now I can't even open Mozilla - don't even get an error message anymore.

well fire fox 3 just came out, so the best thing you probably could do is install that. if this problem is on fire fox 2, im almost 100% certain this would work. if you have this problem on firefox 3, then i would try completely uninstalling it and reinstalling it

Thank you so much for your help! I did as you suggested successfully but still have the same problem I started with which is I cannot DL a video to my PC - can you help with this?

I used to love the fact that RealPlayer would show a tab on the upper right hand corner of a YouTube or other video asking me if I wanted to DL this particular video. Now I have no video player (and I have several) that allows me to save to my computer a video from You Tube or Google, etc.

wow VERY helpful!!! solved my problem with the menuitem box at the bottom of my firefox browser =)

BTW: to have all the bookmarks from your default firefox profile, just start firefox w/ default profile, click bookmarks > organize bookmarks > File > Export then save. Then close firefox then reopen it. Use the new "fixed" profile then go to book marks > organize > file > import > then double click on the "bookmarks" you exported before.
