  • what time was the McAteer Baggio nutmeg at?

  • @jmg1311 I think you'll find it's pronounced Baaaaaaaaaaggio by the commentators. He was the little Italian guy that kept trying to get near Paul McGraths ball, Paul wouldn't let him play but let him have his jersey after the game cos he's such a nice guy.

  • "the primeminister for ireland" wtf are these dougebags serious at the replay for the goal he says"a long ball by england"

  • the last great irish team ? maybe the only great... we should have won euro 88 and italia 90!

  • I actually think one of the commentators thinks England were playing Italy. You would think he would at least be able to pronounce the name Baggio. What on earth is Bawhgio ? Dreadful stuff...

  • That isish win was killing teh commentators, lol.

  • head ball ha ha.prime minister of Ireland?check out the ray houghton goal, they even say england by accident at one stage.stick to hockey! comparing a shit hockey game to this3:25,two fucking lemons.compare it to george hamiltons commentary, legend

  • Same result in Bari on Wed night would be nice!! Come on Ireland!!

  • im so glad ireland beat italy that day cos the americas were so sure and cocky that italy would walk all over ireland lol

  • A great day, but jesus christ, I've never heard such biased commentary in my whole life...

  • Paul Mc Grath was the greatest ever Irish player - Don't ever let them tell you Roy Keane was, he could'nt lace McGrath's boots

  • I watched this game in a pub in Galway with my Dad when I was 8 years old. Great memories. I was too young then to appreciate what a heroic performance Paul McGrath put in that day for the team but this video shows what a magnificent effort it was. What a legend.

  • i'm from italy i remember watching this game, i was actually impressed with the way irish play, nice style

  • Fantastic book, anyone who reads it would have nothing but respect and total admiration for the Greatest Irish player ever!!!!

  • Good God, memories - watching this, 20 years old, plastic hammer in hand, at Nite Owls in Cork. The next morning was absolutely brutal...

  • Oh man i remember this game!

Amazing! My dads Irish & Legend Paul McGrath was brilliant at Derby near the end of his career

  • Paul McGrath demonstrated his world-class status during that game. What a performance and a well deserved win for the Irish. The Italians were very lucky they didn't go down

2-0 against them A very entertaining game indeed.

  • Quite good commentary actually.

  • Paul McGrath. What a legend he is. What about that stupid ass yank commentator 7.52 "Mcgrath saves the day again winning the final headball"

  • @wantadrinkadagla It was close though, the Italians could have had their 1st down and 10 inside the Irish redzone and got their touchdown only for McGraths interception. Commentators didn't pay much attention to the other 400 times in that game he pissed all over the supposedly best attack force in the world.

    Paul for president.

  • paul mc grath at 7,52 what a hero

  • he was/is the greatest irish player ever.. all those operations and he played like that

  • aye...he loved ireland..... fair play to him..... if only they were like that now we'd be in the world cup GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR

  • P.S.......... we'll never make the world cup this qualifers or next.... especially with THE ITALIANS at the helm..
