@TheMedionMark If you've got connections, then you can do some "banned" things freely in certain settings. I was there last summer and we went to an Italian-style pizza place that was only open to tourists and people with high-level connections. Sure, your comments can be ironical, and in that case, congrats! The purpose of my comment is actually to make a point about the real American aproach on foreign politics, not to insult you in any way or to defend the DPRK. I despise its regime just as much as the foreign politics of the USA. :))

@funkdrum5 and @kAmi9teen8y5: The only problem with North Korea is that it has NO OIL, an abnormally big army and nukes... @kAmi9teen8y5 Bin Laden's family has been working with the CIA since the early 90's It's a known fact that they have and politicians will tell you they have. They also say that Bin Laden was out cased from the family in the mid to late 90's. Do you really think they would cast out their own son/ family? I highly doubt he's dead. This reminds me of all of the abandoned industrial cities scattered along what used to be the Soviet Union. Nobody deserves living conditions like this (except for Kim Jong Il, and possibly Paris Hilton).
They will never get liberated. Unless they start a war. And if the US, NATO, Korea or Japan attacks them first it is logical to believe that Russia and China will back them up. That's why the west is hesitating - they don't want to start a nuclear war.
again - you are allowed to take pictures. Just dont say anything agaisnt the government.
one guy did get in trouble for laying down if front of a kim sun statue, he was trying to get it in the frame of the lense. they were close to it & it was a Huge statue
North Korea is the only country in the world that is purposefully not on the internet. Also, Soju is some GOOD $hit! You can find it in any good Korean/Asian food store. Soju+Coca-Cola= DA BOMB!
3:05 -> "Ah the cigarette's bad for me." *takes it anyway*
LOL
I never thought I'd say this, but here goes: North Korea scares me more than Nazi Germany. Yes, fucking Nazi killed millions, but North Korea's like an entire nation of the undead! No emotions. Poorly maintained cities. No electricity. And the people themselves are then made to believe that they are happy.
P.S. Why are there tacky Christmas decorations in that karaoke bar? THAT is for high ranking officials. Wow...bleak.
uh... no it wasn't. After Stalin the USSR was a livable if sometimes absurdly bureaucratic place. with much higher standard of living for 90% of people than today.
@Zin0ify i didnt live in the USSR but my family is from there and while you could live there, you could relax only if you were a member of the party even then you still had to behave in fear from NKVD/KGB
Life without electricity is far from intolerable, but life without freedom of speech; freedom of religion; freedom of commerce; freedom of ... well, anything is bleak. And I never said that money was a must. I pointed out the poor conditions in which a lot of the buildings are. It's the government's job to provide better facilities. Meanwhile, the political and military elite in N. Korea have access to far better resources than the people. It's hypocritical inequality.
Yes of course it is bad that no democracy exists in North Korea and that party members and Kim Jong Il takes lot of the tax money. As you said its the governments job to serve their people, but instead they waste 50%!!! of their BNP on military. That's bad, but that's because of the military threats in South Korea.
South Korea? Military threats? The only one doing the threatening is N. Korea. Anytime anyone so much as scoffs in N. Korea's direction they instinctively respond by threatening war. They're the ones firing missiles and doing nuclear testings. The only reason S. Korea still has mandatory military service is because of N. Korea. The South does not want a war: war would take a sizeable toll on their economy, which is currently doing well.
Well North Koreas military is very non-modern and couldnt do shit ... South Korea would totally crush North Korea and therefore North Korea must have many, many more soldiers to replace their bad material.
@jakobthenpp You realize that Russia and China would cover for NKorea? The west are hesitating because they want to avoid a nuclear war. And if they do attack NKorea first they will get one warning by Russia to stop their attack. And they will stop it, leaving South Korea to face North, which is supplied by Russia and China. The table turns upside down if NKorea makes it's first move. Actually they are so fucked up that they already sunk a South Korean ship, but don't take credit for it. Funny.
@jakobthenpp USA won't even start, let alone continue. Russia WOULD do something because NK is a valuable economical connection. China couldn't evacuate because in war the borders are being observed by sattelites and similar devices.
In the Korea war China attacked USA ... Why would'nt they evacuate the dear leader? They are allies so I don't see why ... Or if you meant that USA would see that and destroy the aircraft? USA would support South Korea ... they already have alot of troops near the border.
@jakobthenpp Im saying that China COULDN'T evacuate, because in war the borders are monitored. Yes USA IS supporting SKorea, Yes they have troops near the border. SO? thats what im saying
@EnigmaDrath germanic people are hateful and cruel, there is nothing cruel or hateful about these wonderful people, they seem to me to be very kind. the implementation of the policies by the state is abysmal and the people are obviously terrorised and branwashed, the north korean people are the delusional victims of the state whilst the germans knowingly colluded with the state, you cannot compare the two peoples
@HokiesAndDawgs True, but what makes the Nazis such a scary concept is the fact that their killing was done only for the purposes of eliminating races of people. Where Stalin interred political dissidents to keep his party stable and worked people to death in forced labour camps to strengthen his industry, Hitler just wanted to obliterate lives, and I find that a lot scarier.
@HokiesAndDawgs Agreed, but saying the USSR or North Korea are Communist is like saying the United States is completely controlled by the people. On paper? Sure. In truth? No. Just, no.
Yeah i understand the liberation part , but would that affect these people in a good way . I dont mean that they will live worse as it is , but i mean that it could create even a bigger anger in them , especially from the fanatics , who would reallly would make stuff go bananas. Maybe even make another war.
@c0nquerr0r92 Thing is they are totally brainwashed from 70 years so intervention by NATO would result in total destruction. In these sort of cases you have to bring them down from within. Rebellion and revolution is the only thing that would work. Open conflict is out of the question.
It seemed like the people liked the American, but were scared to show it. So sad to have to live like that. Thats the life that the Republicans want to lead us to.

Wow...bleak.

how do you know how bad nazi germany was???
Perogi360 2 years ago
@Perogi360 it was pretty much the same as the USSR
Zin0ify 2 years ago
uh... no it wasn't. After Stalin the USSR was a livable if sometimes absurdly bureaucratic place. with much higher standard of living for 90% of people than today.
davidbalazs 2 years ago
true but not if you had youre own ideas
Zin0ify 2 years ago
@Zin0ify i didnt live in the USSR but my family is from there and while you could live there, you could relax only if you were a member of the party even then you still had to behave in fear from NKVD/KGB
Zin0ify 1 year ago
@EnigmaDrath
USSR murdered tens of millions more than the Nazis.....and they helped put Kim Il Sung/Kim Jong Il into power.
HokiesAndDawgs 1 year ago
@EnigmaDrath
So you mean ... That without electricity and money no man can be happy? I think you're the one being brainwashed.
jakobthenpp 1 year ago
@jakobthenpp
EnigmaDrath 1 year ago
@EnigmaDrath
Yes of course it is bad that no democracy exists in North Korea and that party members and Kim Jong Il takes lot of the tax money. As you said its the governments job to serve their people, but instead they waste 50%!!! of their BNP on military. That's bad, but that's because of the military threats in South Korea.
jakobthenpp 1 year ago
@jakobthenpp
EnigmaDrath 1 year ago
@EnigmaDrath
Well North Koreas military is very non-modern and couldnt do shit ... South Korea would totally crush North Korea and therefore North Korea must have many, many more soldiers to replace their bad material.
jakobthenpp 1 year ago
@jakobthenpp You realize that Russia and China would cover for NKorea? The west are hesitating because they want to avoid a nuclear war. And if they do attack NKorea first they will get one warning by Russia to stop their attack. And they will stop it, leaving South Korea to face North, which is supplied by Russia and China. The table turns upside down if NKorea makes it's first move. Actually they are so fucked up that they already sunk a South Korean ship, but don't take credit for it. Funny.
xomiakas 1 year ago
@xomiakas
USA wouldnt stop, Russia would'nt do anything because they are not allies. I think China would let it go and just evacuate Kim Jong Il to China.
jakobthenpp 1 year ago
@jakobthenpp USA won't even start, let alone continue. Russia WOULD do something because NK is a valuable economical connection. China couldn't evacuate because in war the borders are being observed by sattelites and similar devices.
xomiakas 1 year ago
@xomiakas
In the Korea war China attacked USA ... Why would'nt they evacuate the dear leader? They are allies so I don't see why ... Or if you meant that USA would see that and destroy the aircraft? USA would support South Korea ... they already have alot of troops near the border.
jakobthenpp 1 year ago
@jakobthenpp Im saying that China COULDN'T evacuate, because in war the borders are monitored. Yes USA IS supporting SKorea, Yes they have troops near the border. SO? thats what im saying
xomiakas 1 year ago
@EnigmaDrath germanic people are hateful and cruel, there is nothing cruel or hateful about these wonderful people, they seem to me to be very kind. the implementation of the policies by the state is abysmal and the people are obviously terrorised and branwashed, the north korean people are the delusional victims of the state whilst the germans knowingly colluded with the state, you cannot compare the two peoples

It's a little ironic that an atheist communist country has an Xmas tree in one of their bars.

@EnigmaDrath But in Nazi Germany, the people were just as much blind zombies.
They killed millions of people more than North Korea.

North korea scares me more than Israel, Iran, Iraq an Afghanistan combined!
Yet, the so-called 'police of the world' do nothing! Probably because North Korea doesn't have oil or minerals to plunder XD
nielsch06 1 year ago
@EnigmaDrath
The USSR is responsible for tens of millions of more murders than the Nazis FWIW.
HokiesAndDawgs 1 year ago
@HokiesAndDawgs True, but what makes the Nazis such a scary concept is the fact that their killing was done only for the purposes of eliminating races of people. Where Stalin interred political dissidents to keep his party stable and worked people to death in forced labour camps to strengthen his industry, Hitler just wanted to obliterate lives, and I find that a lot scarier.
Spac42 1 year ago
@HokiesAndDawgs Agreed, but saying the USSR or North Korea are Communist is like saying the United States is completely controlled by the people. On paper? Sure. In truth? No. Just, no.

hahah, crazy country. I feel so sorry for North Korean people. They should be liberated by NATO
c0nquerr0r92 2 years ago 25
@c0nquerr0r92 that would be great if north korea didnt have a large nuclear arsenal
but not only that they have one of the biggest armies in the world

@c0nquerr0r92 Ya, NATO's the one to liberate them.

@c0nquerr0r92 NATO should watch theyr own fucking business, why waste troops and money on shit that is not our problem.
Hypercamera 1 year ago
@c0nquerr0r92
Yeah i understand the liberation part , but would that affect these people in a good way . I dont mean that they will live worse as it is , but i mean that it could create even a bigger anger in them , especially from the fanatics , who would reallly would make stuff go bananas. Maybe even make another war.
dasdasdus 1 year ago
@c0nquerr0r92 You're so right dude!
Calgar88 1 year ago
@c0nquerr0r92 Thing is they are totally brainwashed from 70 years so intervention by NATO would result in total destruction. In these sort of cases you have to bring them down from within. Rebellion and revolution is the only thing that would work. Open conflict is out of the question.
