the writers of the show had kyle and amanda date so that kyle would have a connection to other humans. his love for amanda is alot about finding himself as a human and adapting to our culture. much like when he learned to speak kyle needed to experience love. this is amanda's only reason to be on the show.

now jessi. she is his soulmate. every knows it. soo for everyone that like the kyle and amanda combo. you lose.
