  • Maria McKee has had a more than solid career, but she should've been huge.

  • the music just pours out of her. Sincere, heart felt, and great!

  • my favourite utube vid...marie, so appealing, so good

  • Who originally does this song? I only know it from Vanilla Fudge...and they do a great version!

  • @Isles80 It's written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, I think Dusty Springfield did a version of it.

  • Excellent! she is so awesome. capable of doing it all. Very talented. LOVE HER!

  • I love Maria and it's great to see live footage of her on You Tube.

  • She's amazing. She's been around for so long, and so many people have never heard of her. Crazy.

  • I think PJ Proby sang this first?

  • me encanta como canta esta chica

  • Thanks for the post she sounds so good live. Did she sing back up on the first Counting Crows CD?

  • So, who wrote the song ?

  • This is a Carole King song. I think I like Maria's version better, such righteous talent!

  • Thanks. I had no idea.

  • @robtho1 huge maria fan. used to drive all over socal to see lone justice. also a huge carole king fan. but i think the definitive version of this song is dusty springfield's. the way she sings the word "soul" will make your knees buckle.

  • Great call tish, just looked up Dusty's version and it is fantastic. I'd only really heard just her "hits". Maybe I'll dig a little deeper now.

  • would highly recommend the deluxe package of "dusty in memphis." has a ton of bonus tracks, almost all of which are outstanding

  • just discoverd that she sang more than show me heavn. wow love her. would love to see her live

  • She is one of the most soulful female vocalists, lyricists, musicians ever! Love her!

  • @fwalker70 Yes, the soul of Patsy Cline resides in a secret diva goddess from the San Fernando Valley.

  • my favorite version is by continental drifters. check it out.

  • you have to hear the early vanilla fudge version...tell me then

  • i'll have to give it a listen, and thanks for the tip.

  • Cute but once again, the definitive version to me is the one by Dusty Springfield.

  • maria is so sweet and so brilliant..was her old group called lone star? they were pretty damn good too

  • Lone Justice. I still have a t-shirt signed by Maria in the bottom of a drawer. One of the treasure of my youth.

  • The mixer had her guitar way too loud, but it doesn't detract from the brilliance of her singing and the song.

  • I was searching for that version as well, MPObrands! This is nice but it can't stand in the shadow of that one.

  • God I wish someone had a copy of her doing this on Later with Jools Holland (UK - BBC). Anyone? I saw it and she was totally brilliant

  • maria ....yum
