@WildDragon2013 I havnt seen the new one yet, so I cant say if the new one is better. But from the videos, it seems like theres less fire works which sucks. But the other stuff during that part make it more colorful i guess.

So incase anyone didnt know for being obsessed with disney more than anyone else, this song is featured on the classic Disney: 60 years of musical magic Volume 4. I still love the live version though and the vocals make me feel like im 10 years old all over again :D I will be overseeing one of these shows in february 2010 :D

Hats off to Bruce Healey for writing probably the most amazing score ever for the Fantasmic theme. And props to Disney Animation for making the most brilliant move ever by having Steamboat Willie pilot the Mark Twain Riverboat in the finale.

When I go to Disneyland, the only part I really look foward to is Fantasmic. Without this show Disneyland would not be the same at all. If they take this show out, I swear I will hunt down every one of the people that voted to take this show out AND the people that made it happen.

i went to disneyland in october 2000' just to watch Fantasmic! but the day after we got our plane tickets they decided to close it for refurbishment or something... I GOT SO MAD!!! not to mention I'm from Argentina (too far away)... we still LOVED Disneyland... I wish Fantasmic was in Disneyland Paris... since we go every year there

I saw fantasmic yesterday March 7, 2008 they have new pyro (firework) effect finale it's way better then the prevous one. plus they have new lighting effect.

actually not always. Space mt, Splash mt, Star tours, Muppet Vision, Tough to be a bug, tower of terror, and several more originated at WDW. However, Disneyland was there first, and if there was no Disneyland, there would be no Disneyworld. I must give them credit 4 that.

I've seen both and I beg to differ. How can that steamboat at the end even compare to the River Belle? I agree that both version have the high points. However, the spectacle seen at Disneyland is more amazing because once the lights come back up after the show, there's no evidence of the show even being there. The stage and amphitheater at WDW kinda kills the wow factor. In terms of Mickey going down slowly, that's just a timing issue that I'm sure Disney has fixed.

i prefer the fantasmic at disney world, except for this end scene, which is so much better and disneyland. at disneyworld, u can see the supports that hold mickey on top of the mountain, but at disneyland, the smoke from the fireworks cover it so u can't see it.
