Saw Tull at the Fox theater in Detroit in the 90s and Ian Anderson Unplugged in Tampa in 2003 when they passed out kazoos to play during this song...Took my oldest son and it was great. Saw Tull the first time in Detroit in 1976 and they are still great.
Why is everyone talking about 1977 when this video is from a concert in 1984 ??
This guy Still does this song Great... but the Best was the Original Aqualung Concert 1970... This was the closing song of the show done as an encore, and the 10min long piano into gave the rest of the band a break... anyone have THAT video, please post. (BTW - I was at the 1984 Concert in Chicago, where Ian threw the keyboardist Vatise off the stage and Ian played the keybaords for the rest of the show.) - Talent
Bursting Out 1977 - their peak./ 1977 was peak for EVERYONE. Tull, The Who, Genesis, Van Halen, Elvis, Zeppliin. RUSH. maybe Stones... 1977 was the peak.
I could not disagree with you more. 1970 was waaaaaaaaaay better. I do not like Genesis, Elvis, Rush, Zep and esp. Van H so I will not comment on them. The Who did "Live At Leeds" (their best work), The Dead were in their prime and the Allman Bros. were ON FIRE. The best thing to ever come out of the rock idiom was HANDS DOWN Hendrix's live shows from 70. He was doing stuff that will always be *IMPOSSIBLE* to create and play. He was the legend of all legends. Zappa was also
on fire as was a young Carlos Santana and the most talented musician of them all MILES DAVIS and his band were creating ABSURD music that would be primitive and futuristic at the same time 1,000 years from now. Of course, I am just guy with an opinion.
@JediJoker7169 There is an official release called "Live at Hammersmith '84" (published 1990). Not a complete concert, but Locomotive Breath complete with samples is included.

@MRG2112MGV Why did Ian throw him off the stage? And Ian playing keyboards sounds AWESOME, would like to see a video of that.

Anyone know where I can get an audio recording from this tour? I love the sampling of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Relax" in this performance.

Excellent! Martin on a specially inspired night! Ian having fun...
The previous lineup was certainly more charismatic, but here, camaraderie is back!
Thanks Ben!
