Over here in Australia the main is pretty good. Our chickens are never fed any steroids, only antibiotics to help them fight off disease. This is why our chickens are so small.

organic means that there isnt any preservatives or additives. There are also certain ways off producing this food. Its uses less energy for non organic, but its hards to go organic there are lots of papers to sign and certain thing to do b4 it goes through. It takes more effort to produce organic. Thats why its more expensive. Like organic chicken eggs means that the chickens are free range not in a tiny cage.
ok europe uses organic stuff and they have better fuel efficient cars and less polution why doesnt the US try something like we use sure its a bit more expensive but if its healthier then buy and we all know america NEEDS healthier food

to be honest, while this is a noble pursuit, it simply isn't possible to feed 300 million people off local, organic food (takes long time to grow, sensitive to the weather, less in quantity than GM) without having the poorer ones starve, due to a lack of cheap (and pretty artificial) food.

@WashDC420 - i agree that providing 100% organic food for 300 million is not realistic but it is quite possible to grow good quality food for the masses that isnt procesed. Corporations dont want to go into business to make the kind of profit margins you get by being a primary producer. most independant farmers get 7 cents for every dollar of food sold, the other 93% is divied up between the wholesaler and dist(sometimes same entity). the food system is fucked like most other things in america

i am glad someone is making a movie of this. US food is actually kind of weird when compared to other countries, look at Europe. They eat healthy, slimmer, and live longer (generaly speaking).McDonalds? yea tehy exist today but not that buisy more like a coffee shop type set up if and when you do happen to run across one. not so sure, i am actually kind of flat broke after the bills are paid. I can run to a super market buy "prepack food or ""junk food"" " or shop smart and get healthier food. Only true draw back to that is you actually got to take time and cook it. But its not that bad when you weigh the alternatives out. Anyway, fish takes a few minutes so not that bad, by the time vegies are done POW fish is almost done.

organic means that there isnt any preservatives or additives. There are also certain ways off producing this food. Its uses less energy for non organic, but its hards to go organic there are lots of papers to sign and certain thing to do b4 it goes through. It takes more effort to produce organic. Thats why its more expensive. Like organic chicken eggs means that the chickens are free range not in a tiny cage.

ORGANIC!!! thats what america should be buying. so what if its a little more high priced, its better to eat healthier foods that arent genetically modified foods that just sit in our stomachs. people dont realize that. i was at the grocery store with my mom and we were picking out eggs, and i reccomended the organic ones. my mom said, "well these ones-points to other nonorganic brand- are 1.79 and those are 3.99!" and i said, so you want the cheaper one than the healthier one!?!" its horrible.

The price tags add up, and they dont sit in your stomach, they get digested. think that if you spent twice as much on "organic" eggs (which is bull how do you even define organic) then you would spend twice as much on most other stuff, thus doubling your already tight food budget...not good
