Football teams in other countries are successful and their players get multi-million dollar contracts because they're privately owned and funded. Privatization is the only way.

Totoo. Kung tama ang pagkakaalam ko, dito pa yata sinimulan ang AFC at AFF. Pero hindi nangangahulugan nun na "luma" o "matagal" na tayo sa football. Ang nangyari kasi sa atin, stop-and-go; pahinto-hinto sa development. Hindi tulad halimbawa ng Korea, matapos nilang magsimula ay tuloy-tuloy ang asenso nila. Tayo: simula ngayon, hinto bukas, simula ulit matapos ang ilang taon.
Sana nga, tuloy-tuloy naman na tayo sa football.

This team is definitely the Philippines' next national treasure after Pacquiao. BTW, is it just me or are there lots of Pinoys all over the world now, who are proudly representing our nation? Be it pure (Charice Pempengco, Arnel Pineda, Manny Pacquiao, Nonito Donaire, Lea Salonga etc.) or half (majority of the Azkals, Apl.de.Ap, Nicole Scherzinger, Batista etc.). Kinda cool.
Anyway, let's hope that Filipinos will leave a mark in yet another sport. The world sport, nonetheless. Go Azkals!

I'm not sure what the relationship is between the PFF and the national government, whether it's treated as just another NSA. But what we know for sure is that the Azkals' campaigns last year were funded by the private sector.

Football teams in other countries are successful and their players get multi-million dollar contracts because they're privately owned and funded. Privatization is the only way.

hey guys i think its a good new way for your country to stick more to football than to basketball! asians are more suitable for football. they arent too tall, quick and talented in ball handling. just watch shinji kagawa from borussia dortmund or ji sung park from manu. one day this could be YOUR players! just give it 15-20 years of hard work. dont overhype it with the media. you havnt achieved anything yet. but work hard and youll have a bigger future than in basketball!

What does Jonathan's transfer from Feynoord have to do with his declining to join the Canadian team? It's not as if he's getting 10M more Euros should he be called to the Oranje seniors squad. I don't think monetary compensation is Jonathan's primary mover when it comes to his preference for joining a national team but his affinity with The Netherlands, where he has been staying since he was a kid.

Naku! Sana pala natuloy nga ang bakasyon ng tito mo. Napanood ko yung isang interview kay Caligdong, ang sabi niya mag-iisang taon na daw hindi nakakauwi sa mga pamilya nila silang mga AFP players. Maligayang Pasko sa inyo. =)
