  • their music is freakin chill & trippy my fav

  • the only cool thing about this band is that Ed King, who later joined Lynard Skynard was in it. I remember walking along PCH with some friends in 1970 when I was about 16. We walked by the Golden Bear and the marquee sign was advertising SAC but what we heard coming through the open door was no hippy dippy shit. The door guy let us in for cheap since it was late and there weren't many people there and let me tell you they were playing some of the baddest ass blues/rock I'd ever heard.

  • What a bunch of hacks, typical of the Los Angeles scene. While San Fran was turning out the real acid bands,LA was puting out weak bubblegum imitators. From the backing la la la vocals to the go-go beat and contrived lyrics,SAC had a cliched forgetable sound that blended in with all the AM pop music of the time.

  • I've also liked the band name The Strawberry Alarm Clock...how do people come up with these things? Lol. Alot of 60s bands had the funkiest names.

  • This has go take some acid written all over it

  • Me finding this is the equivalent to me finding someone not masturbating on Chat Roulette. IT'S AWESOME!

  • thanx so much for posting this

  • im digging how i find myself at this when i seach simon and garfunkel! damn....

  • Most amazing psychedelic band ever!

  • Their lead guitarist, Ed King, went on to greater fame with Lynyrd Skynyrd.

  • Wake Up... It's Tomorrow! alright! im gonna take another acid! :D!

  • This was my fav over Incense And Peppermints!

  • beautiful and happy, as ever - thumbs up:D

  • "Tomorrow" was a national Top 40 hit, so it is not like it was a flop. Strawberry Alarm Clock was not a one hit wonder by any stretch, although "Tomorrow" was not the smash of "Incense".

  • when i was high I thought of this song> :)

  • Pretty good guitar solo. Last note's flat, tho.

  • A definite classic !!!

  • garoovy - the shixties!!! no offense meant man

  • garoovy - the shitxies!!!

  • DELICIOUS

  • Strawberry Alarm Clock = LSD & Marihuana

  • @kurko16 *shrooms and marijuana

  • @858Marissa shrooms and lsd

  • i love this song sooo much the minute i heard it I went out to by the cd and it is so before my time well it's a year older than me .. so 60ish it so cool :)

  • This is an excellent example of it's genre. I don't know why this song didn't catch on.

  • by the way "Wake Up... It's Tomorrow"... is the coolest album name in the world!

  • A very worthy followup to Incense and Peppermints. Too bad it didn't chart higher.

  • @Moodiesfanalways This song should have charted better than Incense & Peppermints in my opinion.

  • @Moodiesfanalways, I empathize with ya on this track..it should've been more of a hit!

  • Perfect song for stoners

  • so 60's

  • wuhn hiit wunder!

  • 1 person woke up yesterday

  • This music is a wave of right stuff!!!. Peace , love, health and hope!!!

  • I was 21 when this song came out, it was a groovy time for all of us that are Boomers, I'm sure that all of my fellow Boomers will agree!. rexowens1000

  • I am 27 and I love this song. I wish music was like this today. This and Jefferson Airplanes Today was amazing songs

  • @oasis903s YEA TODAY JEFF! N DCBA25 N RAINY DAY MUSH PILL-OW!

  • I'm too young to have been around in the 60s, but this makes me think of walking around Huntington Beach on a summer day in 1967, just soaking it all in. Parts of it remind me of the Association.

  • Oh...yeah B)

  • I smoked some Black Berry Kush while listening to this song hahaha

  • @Contsu Did you just say you had black berry kush with this track as a backdrop? My fucking hero!!! A kindred spirit on you tube.

    M.K.

  • @the215renaissanceman

Yes sir I did haha, Now I'm smoking some trainwreck atm freakin great with this song also!

    :D

  • not bad

i never heard any of their other songs besides incense & peppermints.

  • When I was a kid I used to go to a skating rink where they'd play only oldies music over the speakers and I distinctly remember hearing this song and others like it: "These Eyes" and "Laughing" from the Guess Who and "Michelle" from The Beatles. People would bring their dates and skate. It was a really great time.

  • is it even possible to dislike this song

  • im sorry, i accidently hit the dislike button :( don't worry, i went out and hugged all the trees in the forest, so hopefully im even now:)

  • One of my favorites from the '60s! Some of the best memories I have were from that time.

  • To all of the young whippersnappers who make fun of this stuff...if you could've seen the chicks back then, you would have worn beads, long hair, and groovy clothes too!

  • @LesbianVampireLover hell yes....girls back then were BEAUTIFUL.

  • The person who disliked this is most certainly a moron or has a hearing disability.

  • OK WHOSE THE ONE GUY WHO DISLIKED THIS >:(

  • @immortalraven17 well theres only 1 real bieber...

  • It's been one of my favourite songs for close to 10 years now. Strawberry Alarm Clock got short changed when it comes to fame and respect.

  • wow--I'm gonna buy this cd

  • your strawberry is ringing! its yesteryear, a world of carnivals and clowns...things these days just make us want to cry (or fly, far far away)

  • 1968, Tami, & Sydey P---bittersweet memories, but I chersih them--& this song of those times. Wolfsky9

  • Excellent!

  • I can't believe that the song "Sit with the Guru" that came from this album never hit the Top 40. They played some of the best psychedelic music.

  • Thanks for finding and having this on the web!!!! What a great time and music is was.

  • groovy!! ;))

  • just a great little tune...my only wish was that it was about 30 seconds long. as someone said earlier, it's one of the better sounding tunes of the 60s, and it DOES have harmonization similar to that of the association.

  • I must declare here that psychedelic music does not neccesarily have to do with drugs. The intention was that the music itself should broaden the listening experience.

  • @ahniditab

I think "neccesarily" is the key word. I was born the year this song was recorded, but my understanding is that psychedelic culture was very much informed by psychedelic drugs.

  • @ahniditab Exactly. Though I've done some drugs in the past, I'm happy to be sober and enjoy this music with the mindset of a powerful experience. The drugs did help me broaden my horizons but now I don't need them.

  • Reminds me a lot of the Association in style. A great remembrance from 1968 from a group which I feel was quite underrated. Be richly blessed !

  • I like songs that don't waste my time. This is a good example.

  • such a brilliant song. i always loved this 100 times more than 'incense and peppermints'.

  • i have been saying how horrible most of SAC'S songs are .... and i have to admit .... that i never heard this version of this song ..... and it has to be the best song in all of their archives. still don't care for the lyrics ..... but the sound ... is very nice!

  • @frizzlefrap You are just waking up...give it time and the lyrics and all of SAC's music will blow you away.

  • This has gotta be one of the greatest sounding pieces of 60's music

  • @astralartist4 .... i wouldn't go that far, very nice, but please don't stretch it out that much!!!

  • This was my first 45rpm record when I was 11 years old.

  • @bobeusebio --It was one of my first too! I still have it somewhere.

  • Great song, Reminds me of tough times that my wife and I made it through by the grace of God. We have been with each other almost 30 years .

  • I got totally turned on to this song by my 15 year old!!! he is a very cool cat!!!

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever!

  • Strawberry Alarm Clock and Pink Floyd were the first groups i got high too :)

love this music .. it CANT be duplicated

  • Lets go back !

  • Not bad. I was listening to the radio a lot in 1968, but don't remember this song. It apparently made it to #23.

  • @jwmellott Then maybe you also watched Laugh-In & recall oft-run the clip of the raincoat guy on the tricycle: that's from the video to this song, which was also run on Laugh-In.

  • Unfortunately I was born in 94 and couldnt listen to music like this.

  • @Benjoreally : Hello young man. My son was born in 94 also. I wish he would like music like this. Good to have you aboard!

  • "Far out, man!" This sounded so trippie when it came out. I still love it - the fuzz guitar, the Leslie organ and the echo at the end lock it right into the 60's. You don't get album art like that anymore, either. Light up the incense and peppermint and crank up the Fischer stereo system.

  • My time period. I'm 57. Great song!

  • I may be wrong, but I thought I remember this song on the flip-side of the Incense & Peppermints 45...??? I liked both of them.

  • @jimbobgreasemonkey If it was, you probably had a gold issue single.

  • This was a favorite of mine back in Junior high!. So much better than Incense N' Peppermints.

  • Groovy!!

  • I ♥ this song, it's so inspirational for a modern day hippie like me, :)

  • Me too! i absolutely love this song because of its warm, happy tone, and great lyrics.

Support the Peace movement for it is still alive and well!

  • @Walrusknucklecorp

Yelp it was my friend along with other great songs

  • @KillTheFace55 I Agree

  • You mean neo-hippe. Which isn't even really a hippie.

  • A great song for the times. If this was a major group it would have been a smash.

  • @whitinstamp

they were a major group of the time

The Strawberry Alarm Clock ..............what are you kidd'n me ...some great muzic

  • What Memories! I grew up with Lee Freeman when they lived in Burbank in the 50's. His mom gave my mom this album when they first made it. Man I do miss the 60's. Easier times. Rock On Lee... J

  • Nice, fun tune.

  • Very nice. I'd like to request you do one for 'I'm coming home' if you have it

  • I'm sorry, I don't have that one. I have the complete album of "The World In A Seashell" if you'd like anything from that.

  • @RichardMBeaverII

yea like the whole record ......would be very nice

    Thanks
