I love this song - perhaps my favorite from the album but here it sounds like the recording is spinning a little too fast. I haven't checked it out though. It definitely feels rushed!
@reesho -says it's pitched up 10-20% with key correction-- Guessing that means it is speeded up- like you said- Also it's off the 45 not the lp- if that effects the sound in any noticeable respect
@keltyk - I neglected to notice that info. Thanks. I can't listen to it at this speed. It just takes the magic out of it IMHO. I'll take the incorrectly pitched tempo any day.
I first heard this in high school when a friend of mine let me borrow his LP of CWOAB. He told me, "I KNOW you haven't heard anything quite like this." He was right.....Rest Cure was one of my favorite tunes from the album. Thanks for posting this, even if the speed takes you by surprise. :)
class, no probs, hope it brings back some gr8 memories, will be posting a normal speed version and various other stuff when ive re sorted my stereotube settings :)
no probs marn, yeah i like it too, what do ya think abt the speed, i like to play stuff a little faster when i play out was wondering weither or not to play normal for unmixed uploads, let me know n check back n sub for more :)
yeah its normal speed is abt 120-125bpm i pitch most tracks up abt 10% when playing records, for a bit more swing/livelyness, so this is abt 135bpm but my decks have key correction so the actual tone/pitch is the same as the normal speed.
Why does this sound quicker than the CD version?
