Throughout the years I have seen my share of bullies and buffoons, but the practice of revising one's attitude to a previously accepted notions is a news. It could be attributed to a inherited cultural rearing. I guess it's difficult to renounce one's own beliefs in the light of the previously accepted doctrines and traditions as norm, and especially when you have been indoctrinated by religion that tolerates very little of dissent or anything au contraire.

And most of the Berbers were Pagans, until the Arabs came, the had to be forced to Islam. The Berbers who were converted to Judiasm and Christianity, didn't need to convert to Islam because they are "the people of the book". So the Berber who were Jew or Christians, stayed with their religion. Just think about that, 1 million Jews were in the location of Egypt, Kush and Lybia before 2000 years ago, so many of them must be Jews by origin.

The theory of roots of Jerba is wrong specially when its proven by the Tunisian accent. a lot of evidences say that the jews existed in north west of Libya before Islam and the synagogue in my village is one them and at that time there was no Tunisian accent and Arabic language in Libya nor in the entire north africa.

Other Libyan-Jews who currently live Europe, refused the Israeli nationality and did not help in any way in the killing of Palestinian people still have the right to come back to Libya.
