"Surprise! Surprise! "Nola copped a bullet between her eyes." I remember when i saw that episode i was only a kid, and i thought "Good for you Bea" you sorted that bitch out at last. I hated it when Val quit and left the show. I watched the series all the way through once on Granada. Up to 418 and the odd few until the end on Channel 5. But will only get the DVDs up until Bea and Lizzie leaving. They were the best characters, i hated the 'Freak', and Meg should have been axed 3 years earlier.
epic episode! when ever bea smith was down and out she always came back again fighting. thats why everyone loved the charactor. everyone wants to be like that in life.
@nativedubliner you're right on.... I remember thinking to myself when her exit came, that Nola had it coming.... and the way that Bea handled that zip gun made it even more epic, and it was all done in front of Meg Morris... only the writers of Prisoner could come up with something as tense and exciting as all that!!!
Good on you Bea. She was Prisoner. That is why she left. The producers wanted her character in for longer . Val Lehman to stay. She said i want out. Bea will never get out so i am off. Sheila Florance(Lizzie) said i quit too and left 18 episodes later after Val.
Oooooh yes I remember that, she held Jacko's hand down so that when Lil pushed the door open it went right over the top of her hand, urgh I cringed - loved this moment! "They're both waiting....FOR YOU!"
Incidently, it was Nola, not Noeline.

Great scene. However, I did feel sorry for Bea as this (her third murder) meant she would never get out of prison.

I was about 14 when I first saw that scene and remember screaming with joy at Nola getting her dues.
Long live PCBH

I cried when Bea was being driven mad - so for once Nola deserved that - especially when Jacko and Lil had that "terrible accident under the door"
