The first time I played this game, I was just running around the world map, and didn't realize it was an arranged version of the CT theme until :58. My jaw dropped, I just stopped, stood there on the map, and listened to it.

That said, if they did announce a new game in the series I would get SOOOO excited.

@JuliusLjungberg They need to reboot Radical Dreamers since we didn't get that game. it would be nice to get a reboot/redo of a game that supposedly bridged the series a bit and solved tied some of the loose ends. I don't think we need a new game chronologically forward in the timeline. I think we need one final game that bridges Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross together without any loose ends. The remake of Chrono Trigger for the DS did it a bit, as did Radical Dreamers, but we need more.

This soundtrack is so beauitful; but game wise,I liked Chrono Trigger better. This game just got a little too muddled in it's storytelling. Very complex and confusing. It's by the same guy who did the script for Xenogears. In terms of that kind of storytelling, I think it worked way better there.

I kept on trying to find this song in particular. I was searching for Chrono Calypso and never thought of searching for the map music.

As much as I think Trigger has better music, some of the CC tracks are incredible nods to the SNES masterpiece.

When I first played Chrono Trigger the musical score had me before the game play. Then I bought Chrono Cross and the same thing happened. I won't ever forget the feeling of playing it, and I haven't found a game yet that did that again.
