So funny and cute. :o} You are her world and she's missing you and bored stiff to boot, lol, anyway, laundry, shoes, coats, furniture seating, beds, etc., is where your scent is the strongest, which is why she prefers those over the goodies you leave for her. Many years ago, one of mine destroyed a couch, loveseat and recliner in less than an hour. Owch! That was before I bought her a treadmill, lol!

I found this funny, I have a dog too and know they get board and destructive. Mine has tons of toys but they arent touched while I'm gone. . She looked really guilty when you came home, I felt bad for her really. She looked like she was trying to find a place to hide. You can tell she misses you when your gone.

Her crate is not in view of the camera. And her toys are kept in there along with a bone filled with peanut butter before we leave. 9 times out of 10 her things go untouched.

my believe is that the place is to dark, and he is left alone most all the time. he is bored , depressed , and that's why he acts up like that.. he needs a friend and that the place to be more dog oriented like the sofa needs to be clear so he can lay to sleep there and he needs toys, definitive need to see through the window some light so he can see to the outside. he probably needs another dog companion, and a back yard. he needs to get out more.

@Onkelstachelbart he doesn't come running because he has obviously gotten in trouble for what he does when they arent home. He is extremely bored with nothing to occupy his mind ie no toys or even the tv on. I don't blame him I would tear up the furniture not just drag stuff out.

I thought that there were two obvious problems. one... your setting you pup up for failure by leaving things for it to get into.. i.e. the clothes and #2 where are your dogs toys? kongs ropes bones etc. try those things it may help.

One of my dogs is like this when I leave (the youngest) he'll be a little angel while im there but as soon as i leave to go do something he gets into the weirdest shit and makes a mess. Very fustrating.

I had a cat once who used to like to chew the pages on my books. Even though she had another cat companion & toys, Toots like to pull books out from the shelves & chew away on them. (She particularly liked chewing on Sam Beckett, Ionesco & Joyce, for some reason.) Got a bookcase with a glass door. She would spend countless hours for months, patiently picking at the joints in the door frame until one day when I went to open it, it fell apart. She was otherwise sweet & well behaved.
