I hate it how people keep saying Charice acts boastful while Arnel is humble. They are both pretty humble in my opinion. The difference is that Charice is more of a performer while Arnel is more of a straight up singer.
Remember that Charice has been winning singing competitions since she was a kid, and usually in song competitions, showmanship is a big part of winning. Having good or exaggerated showmanship on stage does not immediately mean that person is arrogant.

This is an excellent performance by these two incredible artists and I can't believe the audience didn't even appreciate it. I think Filipinos are very passive.
arnel is the man with different voice and had a high voice he can definetely sang air supply,aerosmith,bryan adams,survivor, chiptrick,guns and roses and etc..find out arnel with the zoo band and how his great singing the songs of the vocalist and the band i mentioned.
why not just appreciate the performers and the performance instead of arguing...you hate those who don't applause, you made comments about the network or channel so what makes you different than the rest...well no one can change the culture that has been lived up to now..atleast they made itbig on the other side of the world...

Right hand with flowers for you, but other hand behind their back is a dagger! Both English and Filipino are our official languages. If you have a problem with that, do further research on our history and the history of the U.S. and Spain. Most of all keep an open mind when you read about history especially the era of colonization.
@lowsodium36 Of course. There are a lot of original Filipino music. Can't you google? Some are in English or Tagalog or any of the native dialects. But can you understand Tagalog or Bisaya or any of our dialects?
We are hard to please because, we are filipinos have the sharpest of ears. We are just critically detailed when it comes to music. Criticizing is not bad at all. Because the more you are criticized the more you want to improve. The more you are aware.

These two arrived, happened, simultaneously but independently. It is a cosmic alignment. But together, it seems, Charice subconsciously resists the melding. Arnel misses a high note once in a while but he is generally excellent. Charice is dominant no matter who she's with, lately.

arnel and charice are already international artist, pero grabe nman toh event na toh wala b budget for this two world class performer. wala man lang orchestra or anything, puro edited na recorded songs.. this two performer (charice and arnel) are really proffessional- vow ako s inyo. s event organiser/producer - vow n kyo and next time s iba nyo na ipapahawak ung ganyan klase event.. oldies ..
the note to god reinvention didnt work out well.. so ugly... she shud have sang it whole.. or remove one chorus perhaps if they wanna shorten the time..
another thing.. arnel should have stayed within a man's octave. he need not to sound like a girl.. and it is charice's job to reach the high notes of the song.. not his'..
these two are world class artists..but with this performance, they didnt seem like so..
Charice has a good voice but she's singing over and drowning out Arnel. Her voice is average. Arnel's voice is pure and poweful. I like her voice but I wouldn't buy her music based on this video.
@doucelait1 charice singing on key with the song I Believe. Arnel is struggling with it which is understandable because it's on a female key. Although he showed prowess that he managed to reach the notes even on a very high key, it's unfair to say that she drowns him out when she is just singing the song normally.

Charice acts boastful... but Arnel never did in any of his performance...
That's why Charice's Performance Sometimes just Sounds too Showy...

Let me tell you, huwag niyo husgahan ang mga tao dito. This people are proud of those two great singers. Kaya lang kaya siya nagiging parang wala lang eh dahil maraming magagaling na singer sa atin na dito. ska excuse me @kapayako145, if you envision crab mentality as a negative aspect, you are one of the reason of the nation's downfall. So pessimistic. Dapat tignan neu ang crab mentality in a positive way, Filipino are known doon dahil tinutulungan ang isa't isa pataas hindi pababa.

this is another prime example why too many people always relate 'crab mentality' with Filipinos. Intentional or not, a simple acknowledgement that great performers (known internationally) just performed or entertained them. If they can clap to a politician who is virtually ineffective or better yet dumb as a door knob, why not for these people who are creating a good name to Filipinos. Enough said...disappointing.

@lowsodium36 I think you have a problem with your English and your spelling. It's your definition of karaoke by the way. We have a lot original songs. We are a bilingual country. Both English and Filipino are our official languages. If you have a problem with that, do further research on our history and the history of the U.S. and Spain. Most of all keep an open mind when you read about history especially the era of colonization.

AP did a great job too despite missing some high notes, and here's why...
The vocal range for the song "I Believe" by Fantasia is Contralto F3-F5.
Charice's voice falls within the range of Soprano C4-C6.
AP's voice falls within the range of Tenor C3-C5 or maybe higher (C6-C9)
(This is not the first time they did something like this to Mr. AP)
Now go figure it out guys.

These two arrived, happened, simultaneously but independently. It is a cosmic alignment. But together, it seems, Charice subconsciously resists the melding. Arnel misses a high note once in a while but he is generally excellent. Charice is dominant no matter who she's with, lately.

the note to god reinvention didnt work out well.. so ugly... she shud have sang it whole.. or remove one chorus perhaps if they wanna shorten the time..
another thing.. arnel should have stayed within a man's octave. he need not to sound like a girl.. and it is charice's job to reach the high notes of the song.. not his'..
these two are world class artists..but with this performance, they didnt seem like so..

Charice has a good voice but she's singing over and drowning out Arnel. Her voice is average. Arnel's voice is pure and poweful. I like her voice but I wouldn't buy her music based on this video.

@doucelait1 charice singing on key with the song I Believe. Arnel is struggling with it which is understandable because it's on a female key. Although he showed prowess that he managed to reach the notes even on a very high key, it's unfair to say that she drowns him out when she is just singing the song normally.
