@acman92 1000Hz vs 125Hz is a big difference in latency when playing competatively. Rapid movements done faster when 2 things are equal such as skill and talent is a step up called advantage. If you believe the keyboard you speak of are better, when in equal competition the 1000Hz ones would put your win to loss ratio 1 to say 10 instead of 1 to 1.
@AntDX316 yeah but on a dedicated port like PS/2 you don't have to deal with other devices taking up the switch, sure the difference might be negligable in that instance where you have 1 USB device running in tandem, but you use a USB keyboard, headset, mic and mouse all have to be handled through the USB controller so that 1000Hz slows down quite a bit. Dedicated ports are just superior in that sense. I'm not speaking of any keyboards in particular just stating what I've read on the subject.
@acman92 The only thing with 1000Hz if the device does 1000Hz. The USB polling isn't 1000Hz on all ports. With todays processors that 1000Hz is no problem in processing. Not even a 1% performance loss I think. Perhaps not even 0.01%.

I have no problems.
My laptop squishes all the keys together so there's about a 1mm width between the keys but I have no problems there.
I don't get alot of feed back and it's not "crisp". In fact, "normal" keyboards bother me because most of them are sticky and bulky.

The only complaints she has is that it's a little big and that the keys are close together? You're kidding right? If I can type on an iphone where the keyboard is as big as my thumb and where there's no space at all between the keys, I think I can type on something that's a little bit bigger than your average keyboard. Psssshhh. It's women like this that give the poor girl geeks a bad name. Has she never typed on a laptop before? Anyone who has knows that keys that are next to each other only result in mistakes when you fail at typing. Also, my keyboard is one giant mofo of a thing, yet I can easily type on small keyboards.

Or maybe they just really like the keyboard and like having a decent gaming rig? I've got a long term girlfriend and my keyboard cost about $140 when I bought it (Logitech g19). Sure, it's not $1800 but to people that buy $20 keyboards mine was a "stupid" buy.
I'm sure there's richer people then I am out there that will spend $1800 on a keyboard.

nobody needs such a crap, no art designer, no photoshop user and no 3d programmer. all of these guys know what key to strike without looking on the keyboard.

She's complaining about spacing between keys, yet laptops suffer from that as well. She says "barely functional", yet said how the software was impressive, and didn't say that the thing didn't even work (which it does). She also makes a comment on how it isn't as "crisp" as other keyboards. It's probably because it has mechanical keyswitches, and doesn't suffer from the shitty membrane typing response. She needs to get out and try mechanical keyboards before reviewing this.
