It slows down ur PC and the databases are updated VERY rarely (maybe once per 24h, unlick kaspersky which gets database updates about every hour) Overall Norton doesn't detect nearly as much stuff as a good antivirus soft like kaspersky and ontop of old, signature based virus detection kaspersky has tons of other anti malware capabilities too. There's a reason why kaspersky is used by all the pro's to clean infected machines and prevent them from getting infected again.

i have been using norton and avg for a long time now and they work great though i would also strongly recommend kaspersky for fast and strong computers

I would definately recommend Avast.

Automatic updates that you get informed about.

minimal resource usage.

Multiple shield protection. I'm particularly impressed with the network shield. It blocks malicious sites before they can do any damage.

Its totally self reliant, you do absolutely nothing.

As long as you can see that little blue ball icon spinning on your tool bar, you know you safe.

@TheAnimalover173 Kaspersky. Don't let the price of Avira fool you, it's an really good antivirus and beats most of the paid ones too, but unlike kaspersky it does not have a firewall for example. COMODO is the best firewall there is at the moment and its also free so you can use Avira together with COMODO firewall and save some cash that way.
