  • TORNADO ATTACK!!!

  • Umm, no. CryEngine 3 is not.. most games can't use all of Havok's applications because of the massive cost they have. They can only use 1 or 2 not all 6 or so

  • Havok is used because it IS the best game engine out there....

  • @tiger05555 frostbite 2 google it

  • @tiger05555 CryEngine 3 is better than both Havok and Frostbite

  • @tiger05555 No, Havok is used because it's simple. Also, the way the debris reacts to the feet may be good, but the way the feet react to the debris...you try walking so casually through a massive pile of cans like that. And another thing, this video is three years old now. That's positively methuselah in video game terms

  • @BobCINAL You see, they are just demoing about the physics, they didn't work on the character at all....

  • @tiger05555 I know, but that's my point. Physics isn't all about inanimate objects, those are relatively easy to deal with

  • Junk-Man!!

  • ..physx havnt really changed since 2006 lol. Nothing really new just the scale.

  • Physx is awesome, just such a shame to see its not more widely used.

  • Pff havok will have no one using it after euphoria catches some wind. Havok blows ass. And im honestly surprised game developers have been using it for the past 12 years '____'

  • That looked really cool. Imagine if he could blast away the debris when they are in the vortex and if it hit nearby enemies/vehicles they would be affected by it. i.ex falling down, taking damage etc.

  • WOW!!!!!! REALLY NICE MAN!!! U HAVE FUTURE!

  • Good... NOW CLEAN IT UP!! WITH A BROKEN BOX >:O

  • ... but does it dispense beer?

  • Nice Physics you have there, would be a shame if something happened to it...sSSsssSSssSss....

  • 2 good physics engines euphoria and some havok

  • thumbs up 4 Euphoria!

  • oh my gooooood, future games are going to me un believable!

  • @danthemanzizzle

    > future games

    > date of video uploading: November, 23, 2006

    /0

  • @Spermofdog and yet nothing this cool is in games yet, we do have 3D HD vision surround though...

  • you cant jump with havok u__u*** thumbs up for getting falling on fallout and half-life cause the character didnt respond a jump command

  • Euphoria steps over shit. Havok steps in shit.

  • the funny thing is that the person talking is i think the co president of the uncharted franchise. :)

  • he would obviously slip on the round containers, and yes I too would find it fascinating to watch him walk in cum.

  • that character... looks familiar! i think from the game psych ops? or something?

  • frost*

  • aint havok workin with the new forst bite 2 engine ?

  • its was used for half life 2

  • @50Papst No! Half-life 2 uses Source engine..

  • @roijasonlagunzad go to wiki and type in Havok (software) and look in the Usage section. Valve used the Havok physics engine. Derp

  • @roijasonlagunzad source engine is pretty old shit

  • @roijasonlagunzad Source is built from Havok, lol

  • I know Saints row 2 uses it lol

  • that's how I run in dreams....

  • I like how this is almost 5 years old and I have yet to see anything even REMOTELY like this in any game yet.

  • @Lassenissen Gears of Wars have the character physics and body physics.

  • @Lassenissen Yea lol! Why wasn't this used again?!

  • Debris never seems to act against the character, it's like everything's made of styrofoam.

  • Hey where name program please? :D

  • i could play with this for hours

  • This video was uploaded in 2006. It is now 2011 and we STILL havent seen ANY of this technology in ANY game.....

    WHY?????

  • @omfgstfuandgtfo fallout 3 (and new vegas), mirror's edge, bioshock (and 2 and infinite), borderlands, gears of war (and 2 and 3), mass effect (and 2 and 3), unreal tournament 3.

some of these are ones that use the unreal engine, but i don't know if they actually use this technology, but unreal engine 3 has support for it at least.

  • @nameguy101 None of those games uses this technology. Sure, UE3 may have support for it, but developers rather entirely stick with Havoc for some reason. Most of the games, such as Mirrors Edge, uses PhysX for similar physics shown in the video, but that requires specific graphic cards from Nvidia to be used :(

  • @omfgstfuandgtfo i guess :/

  • that's awesome!

  • OMG its the trash version of Gaara from naruto!

  • i like the tornado, it needs to be fire >:D

  • Radeon cards could do this long before Nvidia

    I <3 My Radeon HD 6950

  • what game is that?

  • this is shit. euphoria is the future. this is just ragdoll. I could make this game with a ragdoll with G.I. Joe pants on. :P

  • @HitStickProductions Uhh, this video has nothing to do with ragdoll's... It's GPU computed PhysX. Euphoria isn't about physics, but character emotion/reaction.

  • @HitStickProductions Euphoria is not a physics engine. Euphoria is a dynamic animation engine... Though it does feature some "ragdoll" physics to an extent, it is not comparable to PhysX or Havok at all.

  • @lukey405 Euphoria is a dynamic motion synthisis, with more simulation than animtion. With Havok/Nvidia, etc, if someone gets shot, a generic, canned animation is displayed. If you simply walk into a Euphoria character, he'll lose his balance. Euphoria is physics, but it's PHYSICS WITH BRAINS!!!

(I should know, I have endorphin, and I'm in the naturalmotion community.)

  • @HitStickProductions You sound like you've been taken in by Euphoria's marketing talk. Euphoria is about simulating a characters' movements, and then ANIMATING that character accordingly. Euphoria is an animation engine. Havok and PhysX are about simulation of all the other physical phenomenon shown in gaming, Newton's Laws of Motion, Fluid Dynamics etc. They are not comparable with Euphoria, they don't compete with Euphoria. In fact, either could work happily side-by-side with Euphoria.

  • @lukey405 In my opinion, DMM, Euphoria, and maybe Nvidia (for animating the faces of character, and stuff) should team up and make billions.

  • @HitStickProductions As far as facial animations go... it's all about Team Bondi's Motion Scan right now.

  • Comment removed

  • @lukey405 Do you actually understand what the word animation means?

  • Ageia Havok? Don't you mean PhysX?

  • @VCat2006 This was made in 2006!

  • @imalwayswatchingu00 Yes, and Gish won the indie games award in 2005. What i was hinting at is that Havok is by Intel, not Nvidia.

  • great interaction, however shame obout the way the character sprints - gay

  • Advisors do something like that in Half Life 2 Episode 3 to defend themselves from bullets (at 2:16 ) One does it in episode 2 but just for some seconds

  • Yeah but those are pre-calculated animations.

  • es un titere de carne de psi ops??

  • Scary, I was just downloading something as this video came on and the Captcha was RAGDOLL!

  • This Game is called Psi-ops

  • walking through trash? amazing

    *writes big investment check*

  • if you change the rocks to liquid it would look well cool lol

  • rly nice effects, but why is it that the gravity is so slow in almost every game?

  • I love Havok, but I just can't stomach it anymore after Euphoria...

  • @LegionsOfDemons ya know it

  • @LegionsOfDemons euphria is great but the new havok will kick its arse i reckon

  • @Theicemonkeyjr

Well, it's a tough act to follow but if you're right I'd love it.

  • @LegionsOfDemons euphoria is a animation engine havoc is a physics engine thets two diferent things

  • @nomercy8989 sorry but euphoria is also a physics engine it is endorphin that is the animation engine natural motion created both too so yea

  • @LegionsOfDemons Euphoria isn't a physics engine, it's an animation engine

  • @LegionsOfDemons Remember, this tech demo is from before 2006 - This was an amazing feat at the time, but of course it's not going to look as good now. And there are several new revisions of the Havok engine, that have many advantages over this older version. Honestly, I find the newer Havok revisions much more appealing than Euphoria - I can't stand Grand Theft Auto IV's physics. The bio-mehanical AI is really amazing though, I can't knock that.

  • @LegionsOfDemons Euphoria is just an animation engine. For characters, it has nothing to do with ingame physics

  • I wanna see he walks in cum....

  • Isn't that a MP from Psi-Ops?

  • might anyone out there other than myself notice that the enviorment in this demo looks A LOT like crackdown 2?

  • This is pretty damn cool even in 2010.

  • what is this called?

  • I'm mad at nvidia and how they litterally force people to buy their graphics cards to have physx acceleration! There are so many physx games out there but if you want to have acceleration you have to buy an nvidia graphics card! -_- That's just dumb because what if you have an ati graphics card and you want to play! You download the file then it says you have no physx support OMG.

  • This demo would make Source's havok cry for mercy.

  • which game/program is it?

can i buy or download it somewhere?

  • half life2 and source negine uses havok!!!

  • I'd lag.

  • 2:43

Why the fuck haven't they made a game that let's you do this?

  • Wonderfull game

  • man: GET THEM OFF AHHHHHH OMGWTFBBQASDFTSTERSETE

  • Is this a game or is it gonna be a game?

  • @shaunarozonadona LOL this video was posted in 2006...good luck with that.

  • @no1doesitlikeme good luck with what i asked if it was gonna be a game and games can take for than 4 years

  • @shaunarozonadona

valve uses havok in it's new games.

  • imagine physx with the physgun... x.x hard to pick up shit. lol

  • garbage invasion!!!!

  • dude that guy is like "GET THEM OFF ME!!!"

  • 2:17 G-MAN oooooooo

  • lopslebia sirotle besloete?

  • WHERE CAN I GET THIS?!

  • Is that all you do in the fuckin game walk around in trash then get attacked by it?

  • @rickyroo1234 Wow...you really don't get it do you? It's a demo of havok, not a game dumb dumb!

  • WERE CAN I GET DIS !?

  • It's impressive, but it looks very unrealistic. :v.

Any way I'd love to have a wall of trash around me ;3

  • where can i get this ?

  • @jmaxpaine if someone answered to you please ell me wgere can i get it

  • what game is this?

  • @2:36

JESUS FUCK HELP ME, WHAT THE FU-

  • @watany open and persistent

  • objects have no weight and seem to slide too easily. In the havok ragdol seen in diablo 3, limbs have no weight so it's the most basic form of ragdol for both objects and people.............

  • That looks really good. Everything doesn't float in the air for 5 minutes like in other games lol

  • i wana play this

  • The cleaner 2.0 Now with telekinesis! XD

  • @Puzpo Well the playermodel came from Psiops.... So... Yeah.

  • too bad Nvidia video cards don't support Havok Physics.... shame when the video title lies. This video is actually showing Nvidia PhysX not Havok......

  • lol wish i could run in slow motion! ;)

  • Is this a game? Were do I download please?

  • what was the joke he said? i didnt understood it

  • That's a character model and character animations exactly like they used in PsyOps :p

  • @nextgeneration27 Thats what I thought! Meat Puppets for the win! :D

  • and now were working on water physis,

    Nvidia FTW

  • nice to know that they implemented this in Guild Wars 2 :)

  • @TheLizard17 to bad gw sucks

  • @brandon32405 well, exept for the fact that actually GW is a really awesome game (you dont like mmorpgs do you?), maybe some people can say they dont like it, but GW2 is a whole different story. JFGI

  • Remember when source was new, and everyone was shitting themselves at the Physics Gun?

    Ah Good times

  • yea

  • @Peachesz420 Hell yeah. And now I can't play source without tweaking the physic for it to be better...

  • @Peachesz420 i can't wait to shit myself when the new Counter-strike: Endorphin comes out

  • @Peachesz420 This shit better be in ep3.

  • @Peachesz420 I got a "HL2 videos" CD next to CS:CZ.

o.o Wow, gravity gun! The graphics are so awesome! My computer couldn't run it :D

  • @Peachesz420 Same with scripted sequences :D

  • @Peachesz420 People make some nice fake DMM maps for GMod

  • @elel70

Faux DMM in Source? I'm curious, mind providing a link?

  • @Peachesz420 This one is my favorite: watch?v=ZA1zC5amKdU

There is a link in the description.

    :)

  • @Peachesz420 Just type GMod DMM, I'm sure you'll find loads ;)

  • nice Engine ^^

  • hehe , wow , old technology now

  • wow i would like to have that pc

  • oh the satisfaction!

  • Isn't that one of the enemy characters from Psi-Ops? That game was made with the Havok engine. Could it be that they're actually getting around to a sequel? :D

  • @Tbaetz that would be nice i liked that game a lot

  • CANMAN!

  • Comment removed

  • waht game is this

i heard this is a game but they were using different physics engine

  • never mind i found the link to download this

  • whats the link?

  • @mousesploder414 what is the link

  • @mousesploder414 pretty sure it's just made to show this off as a demo. The textures are seriously low quality and movement system hasn't been done properly. So probably just a physics demo :).

  • the most fucking challenging thing would be sand

  • I suppose it depends, sand has a lot of dynamics similar to water; however for fully realised water I'm sure they've got their fair share of cheats so for sand we'd see a similar setup.

  • @SgtSpankey Sand would be, for the most part fluid. I mean an attempt to animate each individual grain would not be impossible on a small scale, but certainly a challenge. It may not be of a fluid consistency, but would certainly take on particular characteristics of it. :/

  • @mysteryloser24 This is true. You can be able to do it, you set each individual grain is really not that hard. You just have to set a base ground and place about 10cm of sand that is an entity that when it is hit by another entity at the point of direction it would move in that direction. Think of it just as like water, you have to simulate every drop and in directx 11 they did that.

  • ageia isn't that good, because of products and colaboration with nvidia.

And keep nvidia out of havok, im tired of graphics card companies alignement in games!

  • wow cans don't usually bounce off when i step on em..

  • please give me the download link please this is sooooooooo COOL

  • u cant download it u dumbass

  • plz someone tell me if my computer can run this. its supposed to be good but even oe cake lags.

    its and athlon 64X2

    3072mb system memory

    400gb

    nvidia geforce 6150 se graphics

    and its windows vista

  • nvidia geforce 6150 se graphics

that would be your problem i think u need at least a Geforce 9600!!

  • so everything else is fine if i wanna play a game?

  • gtx200 series to be on the save side

  • yeeehhh but i told him which graphics card he has to buy when he want that PhysiX feature on his pc.....

yep gtx200...c'mon man high end grephic cards^^

  • i had that video card (if you talk about 6150 LE! not SE), it was onboard with 256 ram, after two years i upgraded it with an 8500gt and it was ace.. now i see that i need a new one...

from what i think you can run this game (demo or what it is from this video), havok uses alot of cpu..but for general gaming this card is SLOW!! trust me

ps sorry for my bad english..

  • ok idk that much about video cards :S

  • @rfksna very good point

  • no it cant only 8series and up

  • Gimme the download link

  • Havok is not ATi's. Havok is CPU dependent. If it was ATi's they would implement it in GPU like nVidia does with Physx.

What the hell is wrong with you people, search the fukin' internet before you post stupid comments.

  • Finally someone who knows what there talking about, most people don't know shit.
