  • ok, but i can't seem to do it with two digit numbers as opposed to 9 ? What do i do if the number doesn't go into the last answer ie 62050 divided by 17?

  • @glad2teach thanx for this video but at the end of your video it states that it works for 8 to but i tryed it and for some reason i can nvr come up with the right answer is there another step for numbers besides 9 because also you said something about base 10 at the end can you explain how i would do it for numbers other than 9

  • HI IS THIS ONLY CAN BE USE WITH 9,8,AND 7 DIVISION NUMBER????

  • I prefer Calculus xD

  • What is your name?

  • Your videos are awesome !

  • I got it! Thank you very much for this video!!

  • i fond this in 4 sec

  • This is awkward. 8277 / 9 gives me 908 + 5, but 908*9 + 5 is 8177. Where does the other 100 come from?

  • @Narcofunk 8277 / 9= 917 remainder 6 u did something wrong

  • not useful because how often does one divide by 9 -___- ?

  • Math is so damn gay do u think ur cool cuz u r the farthest thing from it cool

  • can make PDF Worksheets?

  • Doesn't work for 27/9

  • @Karashinkun Yes it does, the first number would be 2, and then 2+7=9, for a remainder of 9. Since 9 goes into 9 once, the answer is 2+1, or 3.

  • the 2nd 1 makes 3571,33333.... i know its not that different but u need to work accurately on maths

  • Awesome!

  • hey how do we divid 698 by 9??

  • This is really AWESOME!!! I even love practicing it!!! I think that bigger digits don't slow me down that much because I watched and practiced the fast math part first. This is FUN!!!

  • Dear pqvimana, practice is the key to master anything. Glad that you have already understood its importance. Best Wishes

    Shahryar (Glad2teach)

  • WHAT IS FOR 8?? YOU DID'NT SHOW THE VIDEO. I AM AFRAID THOSE COMMENTS SHOWING METHOD FOR 8 AND OTHER DIGITS HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

PLZ UPLOAD THE FULL VIDEO. NOT JUST FOR 8.

  • sorry but numbers like 221013 or 32142 are not random, they have too small digit, for example 746837- your method still work but it isn't fast way (not the fastest), random numbers have usually bigger digits

  • Thank Is Is VEry USe Ful To Me I Like It... :)) THanKYOU CAuse IM So Dumb IN MAth :((BE cause Of it I KNOw NOW THE sHortcut but ican divide.... HAhahahaha.. :))

  • A few more lessons from you and I will throw my calculator out of the window!

  • Dear djstarsiee, glad that my existence was of some use to you !!

You can visit Glad2teach website ( link below this video ) to watch 3 more such Easycal videos

  • The problem is that when you take a test that needs working out they will think that you. 're retarded.

  • i tried to divide infinity by 9 and chuck norris appeared and punched me 9 times in the calculator

  • where is the rest of the video

  • lol indian nerd I love these type of people

  • I can't do mental math-not under the pressure of- "DO IT IN 6 SECONDS."

    o_o

  • i haved subscribe because i learned a lot everyday but i did not get the last part...

the remainder part when the six became seven i dunno if its my dumbness in english or because i dunno i just did not get the last part

  • does this method work with 2 digit numbers?

  • @MilkyWay763 yes it worked for me example 56/9 bring the 5 down 5+6 =11 so 9 goes into 11 1 time with a remainder of 2 so 5+1 is 6 and bring the remainer over and it becomes 6.2

  • I tried it it didnt work I try 210245/9 my answer is 22249 but the real answer is 23360.55555555556

  • @MarcAngelo26 I got 23360, are you sure you're doing it right?

Before the last digit I got 23359 so then only add the 4 to the 9 giving you 14 and that means you add the 1 to the last digit you had, being 9 so that in turn becomes 10 making the 5 a 6. Then you still have 3 left so the answer would be 23360 with 4 to spare (I don't think you can do decimals like this)

  • your English accent is very funny man XD

  • @glad2teach, can you show how to divide a 2 digit number with a decimal (i.e. 12 / 0.60)?

  • @glad2teach ahh ok, thank you!

  • Comment removed

  • tried it, it didn't work for 8681140/9 my answer i got was 843460 and the real answer is 964571.11111111. am i doing something wrong?

  • @hunkyjelly noob you didnt add one decimal, i checked ! do it again you'll get it !

  • Dear hunkyjelly, your Ques: 8681140/9

As shown in the Easycal Video above, you just need to keep adding Digits in this pattern

    8 (8+6) ( 8+6+8 ) ( 8+6+8+1 ) ...like that... put the last Digit Sum separately

    8 (14) (22) (23) (24) (28) last digit sum is also (28 ). This 28 would get divided by 9 to get 3 (Remainder 1 or .11111 in Decimal )

    Taking Care of Carrys ( Ten's digit of all 2 digit no.s ) & add that 3

    9 6 4 5 7 1 . 111 ( ANSWER )

Method is easy as we are adding just single digits.

  • this is a lie, it wont work for, say, 87305 x 9

  • @guineapiggyman i meant to write that it does not work for the division of those numbers.

  • @guineapiggyman lol

  • @guineapiggyman um x? this is division not multiplication

  • Oh and 808/9=89.777...8 and 8008/9=889.777...8 but 818/9= 90.888...9 and 8568/9=952, for example.

Does the digit 8 at the beginning and/or end of a number with 1-9 digits in the middle (like 818 and 8568) ruin the trick?

  • 1/9=0.111..., 11/9=1,222..., 12/9=1,333..., 14/9=1,555555556...why is that?

And 97/9=10,7777...8, and 945/9=105. 9/9=1, so it would be weird if 97/9=9,777 or something, but what about the other divisions? How do we calculate that faster?

  • thumbs up if u dont try dividing in that 6 sec time

  • Comment removed

  • I get it

  • you sir have just earned a spot in my favorites. lol More then I got from My math teacher in a year. YOU ROCK!

  • @ColorMeMidori i dont know if you get it, but i think he means that if the 2nd and 3th digits add up to 10 or more, you get a +1 on your first digit.

  • Omg,this is soo cool xP. Learned something new for math now! ^.^ woop woop!

  • so u didnt decide to help wiv 2104 / 8? lol

  • Divide 2 by 34 in 1 second.

    Pwned.

  • wow it was great

  • 638 divided by 9 didn't work for me :(

  • @guildleaderunpower 638/9=70 and reminder is 8

    6=6

    6+3=9

    9+8=17

    17-9=8

    --------------

    69+1= 70 reminder is 8

  • this thing is soooo cool

  • thanx so much man youre awsome make more math vids

  • are u the guy from virtual haircut ?

  • nice one

  • WOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ColorMeMidori I guess so colormemidori

  • FUCK U!!!!

  • Dear ColorMeMidori, you have a good observation !! However it is not always that the first digit of the question would be the first digit of your answer as well. There can be a Carry backward digit that can get added to the first answer digit.

  • @glad2teach Dont be so nit picky lame. Its a good trick "HowEver" nothin you dork.

  • so how do you do it for 8?

  • what about 2104divide 17? i get 235 but the calculator says 300.6

  • MAN!!! I did this a way harder mentally way in 6 secs than you did. But thanks for the lecture.

  • Dude I wish you was my maths teacher i would get A*s like nothing

  • Your Awesome! :D

  • Hey the video is incomplete and interrupted which destroyed all the concentration and tempo formed >:(

  • @MrDrPrpaa that's the way i write it. it's an alternate way.

  • No vale Madres -_-

  • um. how can you determine if the ending number is a decimal or not?

    please help

  • this is great

  • does this only work when divided by 9?

  • someone taught him he's not a genius

  • this is awesome it helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it only works for nine

  • i have never tryed

  • Thanx

  • It works with numbers other than 9. Did you guys watch the whole video?

  • tis wrks oly fo nine??????? nt wit othr numbrs???? if s plz teach me..

  • Comment removed

  • i got an easy way for this video just simply 221013 / 9 22/9 = 2 it has remainder for and be partner to the next number 4 is the remainder then it will be 41/ 9 = 4 5 is the remainder partner it to the next number 50/9 = 5 5 is the remainder partner it to the next number 51/9 = 5 6 is the remainder then partner it to the next number 63/9 = 7 then the answer is 24557
  • A very quick scan of this video suggests this is taken from the speed mathematics system that Jakow Trachtenberg divised, yes ? If so, I hope you're going to pay him due credit at some point, especially given where he was when he devised it !

  • Dear BubbbaJay, this EasyCal technique is based on the interpretation of the ancient Vedic Mathematics from India. Vedic Math dates back to 3000 years. I am not aware if the great Trachtenberg has mentioned the same technique in the book he wrote in prison.

The modern system of counting we humans use today ( it is called " Decimal Place Value System" ) is based on Base 10 . It was discovered in India ( type " Base 10" in google and read..... ).

  • @glad2teach do you know that prophet Adam the father of all of us taught us the math, math is a science from heaven not a human developed science, why people insist that math is invented by some ancient culture, how man could know even how space work without a beginning clue from his father :)

Egyptian fellow here, 7000 years old :)

  • @CsiDexter ffs just once JUST ONE FKIN TIME KEEP RELIGION OUT THIS SHIT. ty.

  • @glad2teach Really ancient India ws too advanced at dt time

  • what if it is a decimal or 3 digit number

  • does it have to be by 9?

  • that made me get a f you mofo

  • will i learned this in high school or 6th grade because im in high school im 15 years old

  • this does not work for many numbers

  • thank u now imma get beterr at numba sense

    ujyu uhhu

  • OMG! I this is so simple! I actually understood. I need this to score high for a timed examt for a job. Thank You! Subscribed!

  • Thank you so much! You have made math easy for me :D bought ALL of the videos!

  • GREAT VIDEO! THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR TEACHING! : D

  • does ist work with negative numbers too ???

  • omg this is so awesome!!!, but i need help on how to divide a number with decimal like : 221.013 / 9 please help me!

    Thanx alot

  • @yaseenxx

    Like the classic way.

    221.013 / 9 = 221013 / 9000

    So first do

    221013 / 9

then divide by 1000, which should be not that hard ;), because its only putting a dot to the third (three 0 in 1000) place from right.

    1)

    221.013 / 9 => 221013 / 9 => 24557 => 24,557

  • GREAT! I've learned something. Thank you!

  • "You're time starts... NOW" I paused the video :D

  • Can You Divide 2089 By 8????????????/

  • Can You Divide 267458 By 8????????????/

  • I tried multiple times checking my answers with a calculator and it only works with 9 for me... You said that it doesn't have to be 9, right?

  • Does this work only with 1 digit numbers? Or can it be 2+ digits?

  • Thinking about collaborating with Salman Khan of Khan Academy?

  • so u only use this when ur dividing by 9?.. 0.O

  • Thanks... The Last part's a little confusing but I was able to manage... Can you make some more videos? Because I'm having a rough time in Grade 7

  • omg thank you so much i always had problem with division but i made a promise to myself that i would push myself to do the bast and school starts tommorow so im reviewing everything just incase and this video helped me soooo much! so tytytytytytytytytytytytytytytytytytytytytyty ! you just totally mad me feel confident bout math again lol :D

  • you should be my teacher

  • @chocolovemocha it will be 2 , then 2 + 1 , and 3 + 0 , then finally 7 goes into 8 once so ° 0 + 7 and it will be 237 , remainder one.

  • looks like my grade will be going up in the near future.

  • OMGGG THATSS SO SMART

    >:DDD

  • 2104 divided by 8 what will be procedure?

  • I felt like an idiot when you said I must have got the first 3 or 4 digits of the answer, because I was totally blocked. I didn't know how to start calculating and couldn't even get one digit. :(

  • question does this only work for 9 though?

  • @hostelowner my bad i watched the whole vid and he said its not restricted lol

  • thank you so so so so so much...........this video really help me.i was not that good at division..but now i understand how.thank you

  • Sweet Jesus!!! Thank you sooo much for this...

  • The video is cut short. How do you divide by 8?

  • this works only for 9?

  • @atomicbetty12 have you even watched the whole video? -.-

  • @valentass88 sorry i asked the question at the half of the video, my bad :D

  • what if my teacher doesn't allow remainders?

  • Good question !! Not a problem if your teacher hates Remainders. You can give her the answer as Decimal. For Example - while dividing by 9 if you get the Remainder 3 then in decimal form ( way a calculator shows the answer ) it would be .3333_ _

If it is 6 then in the decimal form it would be .6666_ _ . So on

    Try it yourself -- Glad2teach

  • @Videomaster5555 So I'm noticing that this method only really seems to work for me with low numbers (such as 123322 as it's made up of a string of low numbers) where as high numbers ( such as 7766852) never came close.

Can you break the method down and apply it to a large number (comprised of high end integers) ?

  • 2520 can be divided by any digit

  • this took me 20 secounds do i need to go to the rehabalition center or something but ido think how to make it easier taught me a lot

  • Another way to do calculation for this is, when your number (X digit) goes in 2 digits(p.x 15,12,17 etc) do /// X-9 = the next digit in line ////// ,im pretty sure that works (if i understood the reasoning behind this) and this away you'll avoid carrying big numbers in the end to divide by 9

Thanx for this video! Always amazed at how some ppl can see and utilize the properties of some numbers.

  • Ok. My Problem Is 51281 Divided By 5 And I Got To The 8 And 8 + 8= 16 so where do i put the 1 and how do i work it out?

  • This doesn't work when dividing 99 by 9 I mean I automatically know it's 11 but I'm just saying this method doesn't work for this

  • @OhhMyTacos it works fine:

    1st digit: 9

2digit: is 18 but since it is the last digit it is the remainder. Then you have to check if the remainder can be divided by the divisor of 9 and it can. This gives a value of 2(18/9=2). If you add 2 to the first digit you get 11. T

Of course you don't use this technique on such a small number.

  • you have multiple tricks.. different tricks for different ones.. though tricks are easy and interesting but it takes too time to learn all these..

  • Dude it's gud bt d ans doesn't com when u try to do it by 22195. d answer is 2466. while d answer comes out 2465. Please somthing abut this quickly

  • @99divy

    1st digit = 2

    2nd digit = 2+2=4

    3rd digit = 2+2+1=5

    4th digit = 2+2+1+9=14 (therefore 3rd digit = 5 and 4th = 4)

    remainder = 2+2+1+9+5=19

19/9=2r1 as remainder = 2, add 2 to the answer

    2466

  • dude...its impossible to mentally divide within 6sec by using what school teaches lolz ! i saw the question,i rather not do and go straight to the solution

  • WOW I JUST LEARN HOW TO DO THAT IN 4 MINS. . .HE BETTER THEN MY TEACHER. . .

  • @immaphatskank I'll have fries with that, springer. ;)

  • Serious question. Is this the same method as the grid-matrix method I've seen for multiplication?

  • HOLY SHIT.

  • How do you do this trick with 2 digit numbers?

  • it took me a while to actually fully get this

  • IM NOT UNDERSTAND

  • wow cool !!! thanks !!!

  • This is so easy to learn, thank you!

  • is that only working in 9¿¿¿ can you make another and with point??thanks

  • Magical :) can you tell us how to do it for other numbers????

  • and 18/9 ?

  • @bluebud123 lol....

  • @glad2teach First of all, thank you for your tricks, but I have a problem:

How will you divide 479853 by 9 according to this trick? I tried it, but got the wrong answer.

  • @justsmilehomie

    4 7 9 8 5 3 divided by 9

    after using glad2teach method , u'll get :

    4 11 20 28 33 36

by carrying forward , u'll then get

    5 3 3 1 3 36

    ( while carrying forward, when 8 + 3 , eventually u will b getting 11 [a extra 1 for the third number]. )

    thn 36 divded by 9 , u'll get 4.

Add it up, there is the answer 53317

^^ hope tat tis solves your problem....

  • @bluebud123 Thanks. But I still think it is cool trick, but not practical.

  • @justsmilehomie

welcome ~~~one day u will find ur own method tat cool ,, n practical as well^^

  • hey you can use subtitle... on spanish?... please... good trick

  • hello sir ur trick of divide is not applicable for this division if you know plz give answer 38241/7

  • hello sir ur trick of divide is not applicable for this division if you know plz give answer 38241/7
