  • this video is brilliant im a huge huge Mann fan plus im a Miami Vice fan it litterly is one of my all time greatest films along with Heat and The Insider... this is a 5 star video... but towards the end i was hoping that you would add the Fade to black then have it say "Miami Vice" just like it does at the end of the film.. to me it is one of the films charms when sonny runs back to the hospital and the viewer is just show a "Miami Vice" logo ending.. but other than that i loved this video...

  • Fucking amazing movie 5 years later

  • AWESOME MOVIE

  • Never thought the love interest for Sonny was that good looking.

  • I thought the movie had good production values, cinematography, and acting but the story was sorely lacking and uninvolving while the energy was too low and music average. Only the Moby song featuring Patti Labelle really brought back the feel of the series. Again it didn't have to be exactly like the show but at least have the spirit of it, which it didn't. The JJ Abrams Star Trek movie brilliantly captured the Shatner series while also being it's own entity.

  • This production is much better than the series orinal, which incidentally, turned out to be declining every year. This film is serious, dark, grim and realistic, with a great job of director, and very beautiful photo and wonderful soundtrack. Excellent production, I think one of the best thrillers I've ever seen.

  • Such an intense movie! Love it.

  • me encanta este video ,me dan ganas de tirarme una raya

  • It may not be as good as the original for sure. But overall, the movie wasn't too bad either. The remake is just simply using the same concept as the TV Series only much more modernize and something Michael Mann kind of give this film at least a good try.

  • Best movie of 2006.

  • That movie was so bad, I couldn't believe Michael Mann did it.

  • To hell with this remake

  • that movie was a big disapoitment over the tv show, no one could play crocket and tubs better than the originals!

  • ist das Gail

  • Great music/video/edit. Your video is better than the studio commercial. The movie was great after I watched it a few times. It got better the more I watched it.

    : )

  • Great clip

    Thanks!

  • Awesome movie, wish they would do part II

  • Wait. Did the 2006 movie have this song in it?

  • @pinoi78 no they had a cover there - in director cut the song is playing when they going for a showdown in the orginal at the end... the dc used it much better but i still think cover sucks compare to collins version.. and i really felt for that movie as deeply as i always felt for collins air.... im happy that i could show all of you on what level i connected both.... collins is really amazing dummer ;P

  • Sick

  • i love this fuckin movie

  • 1 question...why the hell would you wanna fuck wit an ugly asian chick wit all them fine ass cubana bitches in miami....shit jus ruined the movie for me...

  • this is for real fans from the 80´s

  • stop the goddamn chick-chat and let me hear the music!

  • now i want to see the movie!!!

  • Just like the old days. Awesome movie.

  • Awesome...

  • how can you make a movie format like this?

  • This 1st time i saw this movie i didnt know what to think! Your trying to recapture what made this series so awesome! But everytime i watch this movie the more I enjoy it! What Michael Mann was able to capture is incredible & the actor's he choose to use for this movie only make it better! The footage is incredible & this video with the old song from phil just makes it complete! Watch the movie again & you will see that it is worlds better than the original series!

  • Awesome cutting

  • i think the movie was pretty good, underrated as a lot of people are saying...but when i heard they were making a miami vice movie i kinda expected it to be set in the 80's with all the wicked tunes from that era...that would have been safe!! anyway, thats gonna have to be one for your imagination...

  • Forget a Miami Vice movie. A Grand Theft Auto Vice City movie would b a helluva lot better. Who amongst us would not enjoy cruising down the road doing drivebys to Annekas Japanese Boy? Those who say they wouldn't be lying bastards

  • gud lil cut up movie preview sorta thing lol , well done

  • If I had seen even a part of this video as the preview's I would have seen this flic in the theaters.

    Good job.

  • giftedman1234;

songs called "shape of things to come by AUDIOSLAVE" in 1.49 same song play in the end of the movie...

  • the shot on 1:49, does anyone know what song was really played in the movie on that scene

  • Never seen the movie, but nice work putting this together.

  • This movie is underrated, It's a great movie & I love it!

  • 2:03: There are some strong moments, where all we see are the "looks" within characters' eyes. This is one of the more powerful moments. No words, just the expression in John Ortiz's eyes. There's a similar moment when Farrell is looking at Gong Li through the windows of the limo, but this one's stronger. We learn that Ortiz's character loves Gong Li's. Anyway, I think this movie is underrated. Too many people just want the TV show remade, but the movie brought Vice into the 2000s drug trade.

  • I'm so in LOVE with Colin Farrell. He can definitely have me anytime, I will SUBMIT to all his needs and he can have me anyway he want it. He is so SEXY and HOT!!!! I would love to taste him. I am so CRAZY for him. HIS HOT BODY! DAMN!!! Very YUMMY!!! Making me feel all wet here. I would love to wake up next to him every morning and not ever get tired of the view. God gifted to women!! This is a sad song though.

  • @AsianQueen69

im sure hes out of ur league :)

  • great vid, nice to see you used the original version of the song instead the Nonpoint trailer version ;)

  • Somethings should never be remade and Miami Vice was one tv show that should have been left alone. I love the original Crockett and Tubbs.

  • fantastic!!

  • this movie was a big mistakE!!

  • This movie was fucking shit!

  • colin fuck his role..hard

  • I can't belivin the great timing he had at 3:41, wonderful 5* thx for this great video;-)

  • One of only 2 movies I've ever passed out at.

The Other March of the Penguins

  • You obviously have no appreciation for a good cinematic experience!

  • It was the theatrical version that did it cause I own the unrated version and its much better.

  • incredible

  • Superbly edited, top drawer video

  • Great Film, great video, great song-Thank you mon ami

  • 16 F'n stars!

  • F yeah!

  • 4:02 what a timing! great

  • love the song and movie!

  • Best video i ever see from miami vice!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Miami Vice movie was great, its a classic amongst crime/dramas.

  • Don Johnson is still sexy. Yeah baby. And so is Phillip.---TAA

  • the original tv show as way better. can't be replicated.

  • tnx great vid

  • Very good.

  • awesome best

    thx

  • Excellent clip!! The Phill Collins version is much better than Nonpoint's and fits the movie so well... Good job!

  • Great movie, loved every second of it.

  • As for as Mann films go, it was right up there with the rest. I enjoyed it. But, as for as it doing the classic show justice, it failed. The guy who directed Bad Boys, and Bad Boys 2 would of been a better director choice in my opinion.

  • yeah I don't think he did the show justice either especially considering he was involved with directing those ones too

  • I loved the movie but it doesn't come close to what the classic Vice was.

  • what boat are they using in this movie?

  • A Donzi.

  • And an MTI 39 ("Mojo")

  • i loved the movie i loved the action and the romance in it, it was so perfect, i enjoyed so much the romance colin had with gong li, it looked so real, i'm hoping they make the sequel colin was awesome, he is the sexeist man alive.

  • I loved this movie, however I will have to admit that it could have been alot better....so that probably makes it a tad bittersweet, but still a good movie. *sigh, it really could have been better......:( makes me a little upset.

  • The movie was great, Mann did a great job with what he was trying to go for in this movie. The film also has great replay value.

  • Colin Ferrel was horrible. He tried to cover up his Irish accent with a really bad American one. He couldn't do it; you can hear him slip in and out of accent many times throughout the movie...So distracting. An his acting wasn't there. Foxx wasn't perfect, as he should be in a Mann film. As much as I wanted this movie to be great, it is not a materpiece like Heat. Not as original and not as succint. Sad...

  • heat was great indeed... trying to compare de vito and pacino with these charachters is silly... no sparke there. as a miami vice fan i refused to watch this movie... i could see from the trailer this was carbage... too bad i seem to be right

  • agreed

  • yes the movie couldve been better. mann SHOULDNT have tried so hard to stay away from the past. plus edward james olmos cant be replaced.

  • my thoughts exactly. pay homage to the cast that made this movie possible. i would have rather seen a made 4 tv movie than this crap. no don johnson, no phillip michael thomas. no miami vice. the creative juices werent there. this movie sucked something awful.

  • I like the movie dispite having no major conections to the original. but i do agree, can't be the same without Olmos

  • The movie could have been so much, yet it was mostly a letdown. I think Mann should have strived for some continuation from the series. Like, not call the cops Tubbs and Crockett, but rather have one of them promoted to boss, and played by an old and tired Don Johnson or Philip M. Thomas. Would make more sense, than a movie which tries to copy something it can't. And, on top of that, the movie lacked proper casting.

  • u really should consider being a writer u have sum amazing ideas and creativity

  • amazing video right here

  • beautiful shot of those barret m 82s tearing up the inside of that 300c

  • The movie was a modern twist of what the show was. So I applaud the idea by Mann. It got mixed reactions(the cream of the crop critics in RT like Vice), but that is always better than negative reactions. Great idea.

  • anybody know the name of the song near the end when collin was watching gonli leaving on a boat...it was playedi n piano.

  • song is called auto rock by Mogwai

  • You know what, that song made the scenes to that very average movie better. I almost wanted to watch it again after seeing this. Great work.

  • Miami Vice was a great movie.

  • Agree. But the hardcore Miami vice fans really hate it. Sort of understand that.

  • super soundtrack

  • film jest taki sobie - myslalem ze cos lepszego wyplynie. Ale za to soundtrack do filmu jest wyjebany!!!

  • Good work!

  • Wspaniała piosenka i naprawde genialny film

  • could anyone tell me what kind of speedboats is Sony driving in the movie? is a powerboat? what exactly..?

  • They are Donzi high-end speed boats.

  • tnx man...i knew that donzi was the official mark of speed boats used in this movie but i couldn't find which model is the one that sony drives with the hot chick sitting next to him...its a great boat! any idea which model is it?

  • Actually, I was afraid you were going to ask that because I tried to look on the net but I couldnt find it. Im sure its a modified Donzi model but which one, Im not sure. Have you been to the Donzi webpage? Im sure its one of the boats listed, I just cant figure which one it is.

  • 43' zr

  • the transport boats, love'em

  • Crockett's Boat (white paint and labeled "Mojo") is a MTI (Marine Technology Inc.) 39 Series with two Mercury Engines fitted. 116 MPH. In the correct sense it is an Offshore Catamaran.

  • He Makes A Shit Crocket (Looks More Like Some Sleezy Porn Star)I Have All The Original And Best Episodes On DVD And It Is Still The Coolest Show Ever Made.

  • I dont think he was shit, but I definitely think they could have done the make-up better. At least Jamie Fox made a bad-ass Tubbs.

  • Exceptionally well done! Kudo's! Your video bridges that gap that existed between the 80's series and the movie. Its the missing link if you will. I believe that Mr. Mann wanted to sever the knot to the 80's completely, but Phil Collins version fits as well or better than the recent cover. Again, superb job of compilation and editing.

  • Can somebody please assist me? In the movie "Miami Vice" there is a song that is playing right after the dance club scene in Havana, Cuba - when Sonny & Isabella are outside. It is a ballad - real soulful - sounds a bit like Greg Allman. It's not on the official soundtrack because I've listened to clips of all of those songs. I'd love to know the name of the artist and the song name. Thanks for any help.

  • i'm looking for the same tune too, i know the dance is Emilo Estaphan Pennies in my pocket, but i wish i knew the tune you mention, its lovely

  • audioslave - the shape of things to come

  • i was definitely disappointed when they didn't use THIS version in the movie. bad ass video nevertheless.

  • very nice!

  • nice compilation dude :)

  • I was a little bit dissappointed by the movie because they transformed it too much but you did great work with that audio edit! In the air tonight alone gives you the MV-feel and so even the new one feels right :) I mean those bits and pieces look cool, good that you dont need to realise the script for this one ^^

  • Lame song? you dont know nothing about real music then u hill billy.

  • This is the music that should have been in the movie instead of linkin park. It would have been way cooler.

  • i like phills but the one in this movie was good

  • check out my miami vice tribute film Wright Vice

  • Smooth. That's how you do it.

Farrell is terrific by the way.

  • This version of "In The Air Tonight" should have been in the movie

  • figa gnari che storia miami vice...figa al giorno d'oggi mai nessuno piu come loro..che duri figa...grazie mann

  • Michael Mann is a genius !!! BTW this is my favorite movie.

  • this fucken movie sucked, the concept was good but the scripting was blows.... they tried to hard to make is sound "street". in return colin ferrell and jamie fox made asses of themselves...

  • yeh man,it sucked BIG TIME,nothing like the real thing....

  • What a fantastic meeting of the series and the movie -- great job. I'm a fan from the 80's and I thought the movie did justice to the original, unlike most campy Hollywood remakes these days (e.g., Starsky and Hutch).

  • I agree, the movie had atmosphere, like the show, really felt like you were watching reality at the theater. Michael Mann is one of my favorite directors and storytellers. Collin Ferrell and Jamie Foxx did the rolls with justice.

  • colin farell has a horrible truck driver mustache in the movie... compared to the original miami vice, this is nothing. But it's a good movie.

  • this rock's! the song go's well with the vid! the druming and the bang work's!!

    KEEP THEM COMMING DUDE!

  • Wow. Very nice work! You got it!

  • brilliant

  • great video

  • never seen this movie, but i heard bad things. Colin Farrell and Foxx- 2 brilliant actors

  • You heard wrong, pal.

  • Miami Vice was a fantastic movie.

  • Nice?

  • Amazing Job!! If only [sigh], Michael Mann had put the original in the movie itself...that and wrote a better script, lol.

    to sleep, perchance to dream.

    Que Sera Sera..

  • wow, nice job

  • See the problem Jenscool is that Goyims like yourself have no understanding of what constitutes as a a great film. If the movie had dumbed down to your preschool understanding, then perhaps you would have enjoyed it

  • Great movie

  • NOT a movie, cheeseman!

  • Nice video, awesome clips. Great movie. A+

  • Great job! Nice work with the Barrett light .50 also in those scenes. Too bad they didn't use incendiary!

  • god thank you, the original should HAVE BEEN fucking used in the movie............so much better thant he remade bull shit...........I love this video man, great job

  • As much as Crockett and Tubbs hated eachother, they hated Calderone more - for killing Crockett's partner and Tubb's brother.THAT would've been great on film.

  • Instead, he remade an episode of Miami Vice called "Smuggler's Blues' starring Glen Frey of the Eagles.OK, but...

  • Great Video. IMHO Michael Mann should've remade the first Miami Vice episode, where Crockett and Tubbs first meet as the Miami Vice movie.

  • yeah the best episode is prologue ;), that would be cool to know how they met, in movie they are already good old time partners, and not many people get the subtle minimalistic hints they careful give eachother - but thats the another thing i love the motion pictures, thats why i used old phil colins

  • It's amazing !! well done really !! So wonderful !!

  • Comment removed

  • This film was heat, i enjoyed it.

  • The ORIGINAL SONG YES!!! but not the original cast = ( Damn. Don and Thomas were better then Collin and Fox

  • the best movie with a grat song

  • Great work Fido!!!This is something diferent welldone!!!The movie is very styleish...and the original song...great!!!

    Keep the great work!

  • Your vids are real powerful and professional. Great job on this!
