  • This should have been Palom and Porom's theme song.

  • Scarmiglione: Poison! JAJAJAJA >:D

    Palom: Fira!

    Scarmiglione: :,(

  • I Hate Fire... =(

  • This song plays in the Tower of Trials in Palom's Tale right?

    Leonora: "B-By myself?!"

  • This song makes me want to Eat spree's.... this is also one of my Favorites from FF Iv

  • Oops!!! I accidently disliked and liked this video.

  • @sigurdtheblue wow someone actully missed the like button

  • sounds cool, especially for the synthetizer in the background that plays the base chords

  • I love how this arrangement is still available in the new PSP version, with this high quality.

  • Never played the game, but this song is cool.

  • @golfer507 Dude, you're missing out! If you have a DS play that version. It's the only one I've played and I LOVE it!!

  • @golfer507 you don't know what you're missing it's awesome the monsters the stories everything :D

  • @golfer507 PLAY IT PLAY IT NOW :D

  • @golfer507 Get it. If you havn't already. Comment was 9 months ago. Lol.

  • i agree i love this tune better on gba though

  • @TheSnickersfreak In my opinion, all versions are truly great. I love the SNES version, but it's my least favorite (not sayin' I dislike it though). I like the GBA, but the DS is my favorite for some reason. XD

  • Stop fighting over whether or not it is better than the original. We're all entitled to our own opinions!

I personally think that it kinda sounds like something you'd hear on a classic NES. And I love music like that. So I like this one the best. But the SNES and GBA versions are very good too.

  • So I'll be hunting Skeletons while listening to this song?

  • Anyway, they're doing their best to make these themes a bit more modern. Sorry if you don't like it, but it's the truth.

  • Okay, this version is listenable, but in my books it pales to the SNES version by a long shot. The introductory piano in the SNES version set the mood perfectly, this kinda lacks that oomph.

  • @IcedEarthaholic

Remember we're talking of a portable game. If you don't like this version, try the one that was released on the Virtual Console.

  • @magnusLordN I own the game, and actually feel alot of the themes, especially the battle themes, save for the final battle theme, are done better on the DS. And the solitude theme that plays while the elder of Mysidia is in the tower praying for Cecil's journey is even more powerful with the drums added. This just happens to be a weak link in an otherwise awesome rendition of the soundtrack.

  • i think that the gba version is better.

  • This music sounds so heroic and adventurous!! It matches so well with Cecil's run cycle!!

I like to run around in circles just to enjoy it all!!! (I also prefer this to the original version as I do with most of the remixes in this game)

  • its reminds me, everytime i died , dont give up cuz the music cheering me up to kick the monster there

  • i like this one better.

the original is good but this sounds even better.

but hey, thats just my opinion...

  • Both carry out their task of sounding like Mt. Ordeals nicely imo

  • i agree with johuotar. by changing the sounds of the instruments some of the harmonics are altered. this detracts from the adveturous emotional content this song possesses. the snes version was the first i heard and its still the best even today.

  • this is my fave part of the game when cecil becomes a paladin.

  • Doesn't beat Snes version. period

  • Strolling on the mountain!

  • The original version sounds better, no offense...

  • @VShalak it does.

  • @VShalak it does but this is still nice to

  • @SuperSpike64 Um, not really... They totally ruined it in this version.

  • @VShalak you need to give it a chance

  • @SuperSpike64

    @VShalak

Please stop fighting you two. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

  • like the choon

  • i like this song it makes me wanna start marching :/

  • As repetitive as this song is, I actually like it. It's catchy.

  • this song is pretty cool but very repetitive

  • This theme rocks and it's very special! Because this stage is awesome!

  • I first heard this music playing a RPG game where the character was called "Guy"

it wasn't a Final Fantasy fangame.

  • That RPG with the character called "Guy" was likely Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (Though he does make an appearance in Lufia and the Fortress of Doom).

But this music does not match his at all, if he even has any.

  • Not, rally, I remembered it, It was

    The adventures of Guy: RPG

It's more gay than I remembered it though.

  • Well there's a character called Guy in Final Fantasy II! =P

  • man, i hated this part of the game (because the path was long to me), but i actually liked the music :)

  • What program did you use to compose and record these pieces?

  • This track prompted me to buy the album. One of the all-time best in challenge FF4 is.

  • For a place crawling with the Undead the music is happy go lucky.

  • Meh. Good point.

  • @omnislashvr13 I don't think so.

  • its really amazing how classic final fantasy of medieval times, castles, and dragons like this evolve into more modern final fantasy with complex, almost futuristic cities and towns like in Final Fantasy 10, 12, etc...

  • Flying ships and trips to the moon aren't too medieval imo, and that is in FF4.

  • well im talking about how they hav castles knights and village systems and stuff.

its called "fantasy" its medieval stuff PLUS the flying ships. they can add what they want to a certain theme.

  • Magic.

  • trips to the moon were possible with special plants lol

  • It seems to me Final Fantasy often tends to be an immaculate mixture of Sci-Fi and Medieval Fantasy, though one usually trumps the other.

  • Jealous? Sorry dude. =/

  • I removed his comments and blocked him.

  • I got the game already and im inside the Giant of Babil.

  • Wtf at the like, banjo in the beginning?

That should totally be a piano.

  • I like the original better. but thats just me. This one has a different taste to it. but sounds good either way, defint for me? the original snes sound version.

  • Wow they remain pretty faithful to the original music. I'm getting this game today. =D

  • Too bad I didn't get it today. =(

But that doesn't stop me. I will get a copy of my own...I hope.
