  • Lucky the quick thinking cop was there rather than someone who'd have ran straight over him....

  • actually his probably better off atleast a cop can take care of him, gotta love the NSW police

  • its funny, of all the cars he coulda slide infront of it was a highway patrol car, wow good job,

  • What road is this?

  • It looks like he lost traction on the wet white lines - too fast and too wide into the curve.... It happened to me a couple of times..... I soon leaned to slow down in the wet..

  • Water + braking on paint = no traction. Well done to both rider and police for quick thinking.

  • Thanks for not running him over! Thanks for being aware!

  • that officer deserves a promotion !

  • Fabulous to see the police being innovative and using Social Media to quickly turn this raw footage into a real message and share it in a way that's really helpful. Well done.

  • drive safe

  • OMG!

  • How can you take the police seriously when they are so desperate to make this story about speeding ? This was an inexperienced rider losing traction on a white line on a wet bend at slow speed.

  • Dear motorcyclist in the video,

This is not GTA where you survive getting ran over by a tank.

  • Learn how to ride a bike.

  • Very lucky.

  • Good job Dad :)

  • It this on the climb up clyde mountain?

  • Insert 2 pac son here

  • i use to ride super induro short handel bar help and quick jab lock to the rear . noteing frist rider out trakeing line . as for rains i got attmit bikes dont handel as good and really it's car drives that need to know this -back off . give wellover 8 seconds 7 x 1000

  • @ superfuzz. there's no such thing as a blind spot. its a spot where the driver is just too lazy to take a look at by actualy turning their head and looking over their shoulder. you trying to tell me that i am responsible for keeping out of your way, just in case you feel like swapping lanes without first looking properly? im not saying all riders are safe riders, they arnt. but from personal experience, every single time a car nearly hits me, i was not the one doing something stupid.

  • @dent8101 Since I moved to NSW I have been very careful riding around, I don't know the roads, Still i have close calls. Check your mirrors and shoulders people!

It's not easy to fix a minor error on a motorcycle sometimes, especially in the wet, This rider in particular only slid about 15m, thats about a 60km/h off. his mistake probably started from a tiny hiccup 30-50m off camera - oily roads, rock at half lean, poor riding line, all could have contributed to this incident.

  • good driving by camera car!

  • I suspect he reacted wrongly when he saw a patrol car. Just chopping the throttle in those circumstances could have caused the highside.

  • i'm so tired of riders bagging car drivers. they suck at road safety themselves. they tailgate, they share lanes, they sit in your blind spot. half of them barely have a brain and more of a deathwish than anything else.. and as soon as one HITS A CAR it's always the car drivers fault for some reason

  • @superfuzz Don't judge all riders by a few clowns out there. How about the idiot woman in the car I had to avoid when she failed to give way at the roundabout when i was on it, too busy talking on her mobile. Are all drivers idiots? And then yesterday in my car, I saw a stupid old man change lanes without looking pushing another car off the side of the road into the medium strip. Fact is, theres idiots everywhere on the road.

  • He should have been on the inside white line not the middle one at that point of the crnr, he was going to fast for his own good.

  • Is the bike ok?

  • Yep, that's basically what happened to my buddy, who got launched out from behind a pickup truck into 5 pieces. His engine came to a stop in the nearby field several hundred feet from the crash... Ride safe, people. Don't end up like my friend. RIP, Terence.

  • The officer behind the wheel did well to miss him!

  • Well that's what happens when bike rider's (yes I am one too) don't pay attention to the lines, they can be LETHAL,

The rider doesn't appear to be traveling too fast just made a mistake drifting onto the painted line.

Timely reminder to everyone to pay attention

  • @mozzmann Yeah, ALL riders need to take care in the wet conditions & avoid drifting onto wet painted centre lines. Well done to the Highway Patrol Driver, could have been worse!

  • wow, close call! highway patrol car was lucky not to go down the embankment, and the rider was lucky not to get run over!

  • Too fast in the wet, clipped the centre line and dropped it... Kudos to the Police driver for reacting so fast.

  • @jonbiddell that's the sort of ill-informed perspective that causes half the problem. He wasn't going too fast for the wet, he simply made an error in touching the white line. If you knew anything about riding you'd have been able to tell by the way in which he fell.

  • lucky boy...nice drivin mate....keep up the good work guys

  • oh wow lucky he was lucky !

  • If this doesn't get the message across, what will??? Kudos to the NSW Police for sharing this with us....
