@pjstns Thanks for the well wishes, pj, the same goes out to you. To answer your question, physically the Spectrum is still there, but I think the City will be imploding it in the spring. Pearl Jam closed the Spectrum at the end of October 2009 with a 4 night run. I was lucky enough to have tickets for the 2nd of the 4 shows. @joealanouf He made a movie about the same time as this, called Comeback. Basically, he played a musician much like himself. It was a weird movie with very little plot.
60s animals was WAY better.... shoulda stayed the same.... voice was way better then and the music was more raw.... no electronic enhancements really.... way better
To be fair, i think there are those who like the 60s Animals and those who like this era, the 70s just seem like a void for the Animals... either way he came to a decision to try a sound current for the early 80s rather than join the cabaret circuit doing the old hits..... I'm sure that would have bored the life out of him. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.
@NowHereThisRocks Fuck off, why should i pay it to some moron who bought the rights, or something like that, it's art and such as it should be free and available to even us poor Balkans xD
@19RaS93 Okay, I checked iTunes, and it IS available there. You're right.... I suppose $0.99 is a lot of money. Oh, wait.... that's less than a dollar, isn't it? Yeah. So, you're suggesting that the person who wrote the song isn't entitled to a few cents of your money to go towards feeding his family? Wow.... way to make yourself look bad.
this is really sad- might as well put a cheerleading outfit on him- bouncing 80's post-disco happy synth pop- what a waste of his natural atristry and talent... well, he was an act, and he probably signed some silly contract with some pinhead A&R director who never heard of R&B, trying to capitalize on the radio slosh of the time... ('scuse me while I barf!)... thanks for the post, however- never paid attention this horribly tragic part of his career... a lesson learned...
Wbiro, I respectfully disagree with your opinion about this song, and the "Ark" album in general for that matter. Sure, it pales by comparison to the music that band released in the 60's, but I'd say you're still being a tad harsh- it's not such a bad album. Much like the Stones albums from the 80's are OK as well, though clearly not on a par with their earlier work.

Awesome!!! I had never seen the video and it's so cool! I used to have the 45 of this song and played it like crazy! It's one of my very favorite 80's songs!

I remember i was in high school and that was a time when all the old sixties bands were making comebacks, except the Stones, who never left. Nice to see you taking an interest in the "retro stuff" (i'm a musician and have been told that the stuff we play is retro!. Have a dig around and try and find some of the more offbeat stuff they did, live stuff especially.
