Sounds very nice... i suggest getting a forge 007 DV in that baby... for one it will not be prone to fail as the stock bosch dvs on the 1.8t's are and secondly there are springs that come with the forge 007, so you can switch from the stock boost spring to the mid range or the high boost spring. its good for any 1.8t that is chipped. It really makes that boost sound also hah sounds nice.

Hi I was wondering after u install the cone filter..did ur engine check kick in..I did the same to my audi..took out airbox and replace with cone filter my engine check and traction control came on..am I doing something wrong?
@houaxiong1 I had no check engine lights or codes kick at all. Make sure there is a breather filter for the hose that led to original box, and make sure your new intake has a snug MAF plug. I can send you a pic of my engine bay if you want to check it out
yeah can u send me pictures of ur engine bay and kinda of give me tips..i have a little breather filter and i took out the filter box and replace it with filter cone..but the odd thing that i dont get is, traction control came on too..

I have the same problem but its worse, engine light kicked in, and also traction control and no boost available and every gear change it kicks. though I disconnect and reconnect the battery and the traction control, gear kick dissapears and boost gets back on. Any ideas? stock jetta 1.8t
the only thing thats stoppin me getting a kit like the K&N is that on the B6 1.8T the turbo is right below the intake, so at a standstill the engine is sucking in hot air, you can fit a heatshield but i heard it only lowers the intake temperature by about 10 deg c, was looking at a carbonio kit as its nice and high in the engine bay, iv got the 190 bhp 1.8T S-Line and its getting a 220hp GIAC S/W upgrade in the next coupla days, if you get a chip and open cone filter, youll get a nice BOV sound
i flashed the ecu with APR stage 1 software which gives me higher levels of boost resulting in a louder blow off sound. At the point of when this video was shot, the only other thing is the air intake
@steveo251982 uhhh put a intake on a turbo and u get a bov wossh sound,not that loud but can be changed i have racing hoses so mine screames and sounds like a type rs but just minor,cheap mods will get it sounding like that,my channel the auto vid is my jetta 1.8 with a bov check it!

That's the stock divert valve feeding back into your air intake that then the cone filter lets out.
Not a BOV, but if that is a BOV then the sync is off extremely bad and you probably need to get it checked out.

that does sound good the stock diverter valve in my dads 2.0t sounds like a mini hks ssqv blow off valve it is apr tuned with kandn filter so far
