I'm brand new also, but I think the BCD didn't work was because you needed to map it with VDJ where as it's already mapped with trakktor. In fact thats your problem.

@Samage89 Thanks for the comment. I also tryed it with trackor on windows xp and it still didnt work so in the end I didn't get any of them and went with the american audio dp2

try going to the behringer site and clicking on the bcd 3000 towards the bottome it will say asio and it will be highlighted in blue its very small so look for it. the download it i have the sam controller and mine works.

It works Fine on Tracktor 3 for me but i have the same problem with virtual DJ

i couldnt make my mind up on thoses two so i bought a Behringer BCD3000 :)

i think there would be a setting on the controler for the headphones but for the problem with setting the headphones and speakers i do not know. I have had this problem with virtual dj when i used the denon hd2500 and a denon mixer. I will make a video on it soon. I think there is a problem with virtual dj. You could reinstall it but i would look for advice from other dj's before you do this as i am not sure. keep the videos comming. Jacob.

can't you just use the ni tractor le softwear you get with it for your gigs? until you sort out the problems? i've had tons of problems with trying to get my bcd3000 to work with virtual dj so just gave up with it lol i would recomend tractor though its pretty good and the upgrade to tractor 3 works even better with the controller. just a thought anyways... sorry i can't help much, i am also on a apple mac so its abit different than ms windows lol

also are you finding that you have to press the play , cue and pause buttons twice to get them to react ?

If you double click the driver there's like BDJ mode and Advanced mode (or something like that...) set it to the BDJ mode. The advanced mode is made to have double triggers... It has something to do with the custom midi mapping. If you're having to double press in the bdj or whatever its called mode... then something is wack...

you dont set it to external mixer

set channel 1 &2 main output 3&4 headphones.

I did find this on the Virtual DJ site/ Virtual DJ: Forum: Hardware Technical Support - Topic: VDJ freezing with BCD3000 connected (driver problem as usual) Its a bit of reading but I think there is so good stuff in there for you. I notice you have too many programs running on your start up and in your Tray..lower right hand corner on laptop screen... your need min. 4GB ram.. 8 Gb ideal Ram... if all else fails.. Load WinXP on Your Laptop

You need to Max Out the Ram on Your Laptop.... That will help it from freezing... DJ Partymaster

Producermat knows VDJ/Hardware inside out.

You want 'Low Latency' (as possible)

I think 'External Mixer' is for if you were running a soundcard straight to a Mixer.

Thats what kept happening to me, and then it would freeze mid in a set, which is not good, hence why it went in the bin.....

Hope you get it sorted before the weekend, but just to rub salt in the wounds, the Hercules steel has done me 3 gigs now and is 100% spot on.
